Day: June 28, 2019
By Sonika Tyagi
Mother’s Day often causes many women to wonder if they are themselves ready for a child (or another child) and a new phase in their lives. Sometimes we find ourselves nagged a bit by our mothers and grandmothers about our family plans for our future. In the days that follow that happy Mother’s Day Sunday each year, many women (and couples) start to wonder if they themselves are ready to create space in their lives for a child.
Can I manage a child now? Is it really the right time? How can I be sure? Will it be a successful pregnancy?
These are common questions taken to The Tarot every year around Mother’s Day! The Tarot is an amazing tool when you seek confirmation, validation, and direction when you are at a major crossroads in your life. Tarot offers a 360 degree panoramic view of all facets of your life so that you know what to keep in mind when making big decisions as to growing your family! It can even help you understand if your desire for family is destined and blessed by your Guardian Angels!
So, which Tarot cards should you be looking out for in a personal Tarot reading as signs that the timing is right to grow your family? Here they are, the top 5 Tarot cards!
1. The Empress
Undoubtedly, the Empress is the card that most strongly personifies the parent or mother figure in the Tarot. In some decks, she appears with a pregnant belly, while in others she does not. Her nourishing breasts are specifically highlighted in some Tarot decks as well. Irrespective of whether or not she appears with direct symbols of pregnancy and childbirth highlighted, the Empress is the potential for creation personified. The Empress has a certain air of authority over her creation, and by the looks of the card, it is not hard to guess that she is one capable parent. When the Empress appears in your personal Tarot card reading about family and children, she is telling you the time for family expansion is ripe—pun intended! She is also blessing you by making her presence known in your reading as well as confirming that you have in you a capable parent.
2. Ace of Wands
If you’re hoping your personal Tarot reading will hint to you that your family planning goals will be successfully met, but the Empress doesn’t show herself in your reading, don’t fret! The Ace of Wands is another important card to look forward to when it comes to family planning, matters, and goals. The Ace of Wands is passion and initiative. It bodes well for couples determined to expand their family. The Ace of Wands also signifies successful conception. In fact, if a couple is pursuing assisted reproductive procedures such as IVF in their attempts to get pregnant, The Ace of Wands hints that those procedures may very well bear fruit, pun again intended.
3. The Magician
Often overlooked as a very positive sign for family planning matters, the Magician is an awesome Tarot card to help you understand if you really have all the resources in your life to be able to sustain an expanding family and a tiny tot. The most popular version of the Magician, the Rider Waite version, shows objects or tools on the table in front of the Magician. These are tools the Magician uses to create, expand, and sustain his creation. The appearance of the Magician in your personal Tarot reading confirms that the universe will provide to you exactly what you need in order to successfully look after and nourish your newborn child. Just like the Empress, the Magician also provides validation that you are and will be a capable provider and that the timing is quite right for you to begin your pregnancy journey.
4. Ace of Cups
You may have all the practical, financial, and material resources at your disposal, but are you emotionally ready for all that comes with parenting? The Ace of Cups’ appearance in your Tarot reading will signal to you that you are! The Cups suite in The Tarot signifies the emotional side of each of us through the use of water imagery and the cup symbol. The overflow of water usually depicted on this Tarot card indicates that there is a tremendous amount of love and affection you hold inside of you that is ready to flow toward your future “mini me!” The Ace of Cups signals that you are also in an emotionally stable position in your life. This Tarot card reinforces positive emotions toward pregnancy and parenting.
5. Ten of Cups
Ah, a family complete! The Ten of Cups Tarot card provides indication that the dream, desire, or idea you have about expanding your family will manifest itself and lead to a complete family foundation in your life. For couples without children, it predicts that more members are coming to the family unit! One’s family is his or her fortune, and there is no better Tarot card than the Ten of Cups that signifies this truth. The Ten of Cups also hints that the expansion or completion of one’s family is drawing closer. Usually when the Ten of Cups shows itself in a personal Tarot reading about the hope for pregnancy, it indicates that within one year of its appearance the querent will experience a happy pregnancy event!
There they are folks, the 5 Tarot cards to look out for as positive signs about your motherhood and parenthood goals and dreams! There are a lot of unknowns when it comes to birth, pregnancy, and motherhood, but The Tarot can be your best friend in providing you with comforting validation that your hopes and dreams are not in vain. These Tarot cards also can help instill in you the unwavering confidence that potential and new parents need in their parenting capabilities. Society can often judge parents harshly and put a crazy amount of pressures on them. The Tarot can provide reassurance that you’re as ready and as capable as those who came before you!

There is masculine and feminine energy in every person and the Tarot can actually help us see how to best apply those energies to create the life we desire. The Tarot can help us learn about those energies and see how to balance them within ourselves.
For example, if we are trying too hard and need to relax, we may see a 10 of Wands card show up to represent our present situation and a 3 of Cups card show up to in the future placement. This is an example of how we can follow the line of masculine and feminine energy in the Tarot to help answer our deepest questions or find our way out of the cobwebs of our own emotions.
If that example didn’t quite make sense to you, don’t worry, not all people that use Tarot memorize the meanings of them. We will explain this a little more so you can start to find how to use the archetypes of masculine and feminine through the Tarot. There are many layers to the Tarot such as elements, seasons, astrology, and color symbolism. The more you learn about the symbols and how they affect our psyche, the more the cards will speak to you.
The Masculine & Feminine in the Minor Arcana
We see the kings, queens, knights, and pages show up in the court cards of the Minor Arcana which reveal the theme of masculine and feminine energy. We also see some cards clearly depict women or men.
While many people think of masculine as a trait that only a man has, it’s actually more about yang energy. The Sun represents yang energy which is essentially linked to action, the output of energy, and giving something to someone else. The yang can be thought of as the logic side of the brain or the more linear side which is able to navigate the time-space continuum.
The wands and swords of the Minor Arcana are linked to this side of the brain and the yang energy. They do not necessarily represent men or a man in your life, but the qualities of yang that you are using or could be used in your life.
For example, let’s say you have been wanting a raise and you see an 8 of Wands card. This would signify, you’ve put the parts in motion and you’re on your way to that promotion based on your actions. If you saw a Ace of Swords, that would mean its time to ask for what you want and tell people your positive attributes. Basically, those masculine cards can reveal that you can step forward to get the results you desire. However, if a 6 of Wands were to show up, it can reveal you’re being overly reliant on your logic and it’s stopping your progress. While being practical is a necessary part of life, it’s also necessary to have yin, the receptive or feminine energy.
The pentacles and cups are usually feminine energy. There are various ways the cards show you how to deal with your emotions or channel them and they can also show you if you’re letting your emotions cloud your judgment. There is a creative element in the feminine that links to fertility and allowing intuition to open. This is shown in cards like the 6 of Cups which shows the playfulness of a child and their open imagination which can help you open your perspective to allow yourself to see new options. It can show you how to incorporate playfulness and positive emotions into your life to attract what you need instead of feeling like you are powerless against the world.
The Masculine & Feminine in the Major Arcana
Interestingly, the end of the Major Arcana, marked by the World card, actually represents a balance between the two polarities. The masculine or feminine energy shows up in each card and the Lovers card shows a blending of the two. The Sun card is strictly yang or masculine while the Moon card is yin or feminine. Having pictures of men or women on the cards allows us to connect to the archetypes that have existed for generations in our minds so we can call upon those energies or understand how they are showing up in our subconscious. It’s quite fascinating and brilliant.
It’s also important to mention that the Tarot is only as helpful as the person interpreting it. If someone sees the men and women in black and white terms, they would probably get very little help from the Tarot. What that means is as we evolve as a society, our ability to understand the Tarot does too. Instead of interpreting the Tarot just in terms of how to find Mr. or Mrs. right, we can now see that we are unlocking our own power from within to bring forth our soul purpose. The surge in popularity in Tarot speaks to the evolution of our culture towards a more empowered tomorrow where we each have access to manifest and create the lives of our dreams instead of feeling like pawns out of control of our destiny.
There is a lot of social media attention focused on gender roles, lifestyle choices and discussing the societal norms we ascribe to being men or women. We can’t help but hear about the toxicity of polarizing groups against each other. The Tarot can help us reflect on how the conditioning we received as children may be limiting our own perspective or hindering our power in some way. If you bring balance into your mind in terms of masculine and feminine, you’ll find it’s easier to manifest and the Tarot can help you activate both energies within you.
In summary, if you want to bring your energy into balance, use your daily Tarot and see what themes keep popping out to you. Are you more dominant in one energy or is it revealing that you would benefit from applying one of the energies to a certain part of your life? Perhaps looking at the Tarot from this angle can unlock untapped power and grace that has been hidden from your mind.
The reason it is one of the most prominent themes in the tarot is not to divide us from each other as men and women but to help us recognize we have both within us at our disposal. The masculine and feminine energies revealed in the tarot empower you to be able to use more energy that you have within your emotional database. Cancers belong to a sentimental, wonderfully intuitive and inspired sign. But, like every other sign, Cancers have their fair share of negative traits, such as moodiness, insecurity and pessimism.
Ruled by the Moon, Cancers are deeply connected to their emotions, which is both a beautiful and somewhat distracting thing. Our emotions are important, and they guide us in many ways, but they are temporary and tend to fluctuate. When you become too concerned or overwhelmed with how you feel, it can be difficult to see the reality of a situation.
As the Sun moves into Cancer (June 22nd to July 23rd), let us celebrate the unique sensitivities, inquisitiveness, loyalty and intuition of the sign of the Crab by highlighting the crystals that empower and embolden Cancers. While all crystals will, of course, work with your imaginative energy, these crystals powerfully amplify this sign’s best qualities.
Our 6 Favourite Crystals for Cancer Season:
Rose quartz, a luscious stone that matches the millennial pink hues we all adore, is a loving stone that promotes peace and self-confidence. Working with rose quartz results in a more relaxed state of being and an increased feeling of comfort in your own skin. This stone is especially useful for Cancers because your sensitivity can sometimes cause mood swings or jealousy. You deserve to feel amped about who you are and love yourself deeply enough that you don’t feel the need to take things personally – and rose quartz will assist you in finding that peace of mind.
As a Water sign, Cancers are profoundly connected to the ocean and her waves. Abalone shell reconnects you to this energy, the primordial life force that created all of us – the intuitive force of the Earth itself. It shimmers and shines with rainbows of blues, greens and purples, reminiscent of the ocean’s glittering colors. Abalone will help you recognize and embrace the entire scope of your emotions in a healthy way and allow you to let go of the moods that are no longer serving you or bringing you joy.
As Cancer is ruled by the Moon, moonstone is a crystal that is naturally associated with the sign and enhances many of Cancer’s best qualities and traits. Moonstone is especially effective for women due to its healing properties surrounding PMS, cramps and fertility issues. It increases intuition, sharpens mental clarity and allows you to observe and experience your emotions from a more spiritual point of view. Moonstone also works to stabilize emotions and lessen their intensity. This is the perfect stone for reducing your stress and inspiring your imagination.
Moonstone is also associated with the throat chakra, clearing and aligning it and allowing you to express your emotions calmly and vividly.
Selenite is an excellent stone for clearing negative energy. In fact, selenite is so effective at eliminating negative energy that it is one of the few stones that never requires cleansing. This stone is especially useful for dark or lonely days that seem like they’ll never end. It purifies the space around you and clears any bad vibes present, allowing you to focus on how you’re really feeling without the distraction of negative energy. Selenite can also be used to cleanse your other stones.
Chalcedony is one of the best crystals for Cancer because its nature is so nurturing. It absorbs negative energy and is associated with emotional health, spiritual balance, energy, compassion and vigor. This stone is great for days when you feel run down, like you just don’t have the energy for the tasks at hand. It will infuse your spirit with mental stamina and flexibility, enthusiasm and positivity. Working with chalcedony also promotes calm, pleasant dreams.
This gorgeous crystal – which resembles metallic rainbows against a dark, stormy sky – is an illuminating crystal that will help you see all of the love that exists in your life, both within you and emanating from those close to you. It promotes positivity and will help you feel joyful and protected. Rainbow obsidian helps eliminate negative thoughts and encourages you toward positive, helpful affirmations of self-love. This stone will also help you take pleasure in life, urging you to spend more time doing the things you love.
And for the ultimate gemstone set, try this beautiful Crystal Healing Collection – the perfect addition to anyone’s assortment of mystical tools.
Embrace Your Inner Crab!
These crystals will certainly help propel you toward a more positive point of view, but your sensitivity is one of the things that makes you so special. While self-improvement is a wonderful path and crystal healing a wonderful medium, don’t feel that your deeply emotional nature needs to become stiff or icy. Like the Moon, and the ocean waves which follows its cycle, your emotions ebb and flow – a natural and beautiful thing.
Loving and celebrating your Cancer nature means accepting every facet of it – the good, the great, and the moody.

It seems like this phenomenon is becoming more prevalent these days, begging the question: Is the Universe trying to tell us something?
These are called sometimes called angel numbers or master numbers, and they do mean something.

Appreciating the Numbers
It might seem odd or even unsettling when you first start seeing the same numbers again and again, like there’s a glitch in the proverbial matrix. But learning to “listen” to and appreciate these numbers will help you become attuned to the messages from the Universe that try to reach you each day.
By recognizing and learning more about these master or angel numbers, you’ll start to notice even more coincidences in nearly every facet of life.
The Universe is magic, and it’s speaking to you.

Enjoy this lovely last week of June blossoms, friends; the Universe has given us a fairly fun and quiet week to enjoy it in. We are just coming off of a Full Moon week with the Full Moon in fiery Sagittarius. In the same week, Neptune went retrograde and the Sun entered the Cardinal sign of the Water signs, Cancer, to officially launch our beautiful Summer season.
So, just because we are saying goodbye to a lot right now, including June, that doesn’t mean we are saying goodbye to Summer. Heck to the no! With the Sun’s entry into emotive, nurturing, and intuitive Cancer, we are saying hello to a beautiful Summer season of three months.
Enjoy every second. The Universe has some surprises in store with an eclipse cycle later in the season, and soon. But for now, for this week, we are enjoying the lazy hazy days of Summer, and wondering what to do with them all.
This week, to help inspire us into the fun zone, we have chatty and witty Mercury entering the Mutable sign of the Fire signs, Leo. Leo rules the fifth house of the zodiac, which is the one where all your fun zones are activated. Leo energy is what helps us make every Summer as fun as we can.
The fun vibes from Leo are just starting this week, and many planets will join that party soon enough. So for this week, we have Mars and the Sun in beautiful and loving Cancer, soon to be joined by lover Venus. Mercury is the first to leave the Cancer party and that happens later this week.
That’s a recipe for Summer loving, and Summer fun. And we have a nice quiet week from the Universe this week to enjoy it in.
Stay safe, and have a grand Summer, friends! Namas-YAY!

Daily Snapshots for June 24-30, 2019:
Monday, June 24
Sun: Cancer – Take the lead on nurturing love at home, and success follows everywhere else.
Moon: Pisces – Lead with your heart, but take your head with you.
- Venus in Gemini square Neptune in Pisces – Here we have lover Venus in sociable Gemini squaring off with dreamy Neptune in the Mutable sign of the Water signs, Pisces. This is not exactly compatible energy in any respect. Gemini is quick moving while Pisces toddles along trying to think things through and process before making a decision. Add Gemini’s short-term nature with the truth in play along with confusing Neptune, and you’ve got some muddled up things going on. Not the best day for a big purchase, a big life decision, or solving a mystery. Save those for another day because the facts are elusive at best, and Venus is not too happy about it. Instead use this day for spinning creative fun on the job, or spinning fantasies with a lover. Turn that muddled air upside down and fantasize… for fun! Market those ideas properly and you may even make some bank.
Tuesday, June 25
Moon: Aries – Follow the spark of inspiration and strike while it is hot.

Moon: Taurus – Use your five senses to feel out the next step in your success plan.
- Mercury enters Leo – This is the lovely inspired and inspiring communication and teaching planet Mercury heading into the Mutable sign of the Fire signs, Leo. Under this energy, you are going to see your communication matters take on a much more casual and relaxed tone. At the same time, our lovable Leo does like their flattery. Bring some charm and wit into your everyday conversations, whether you are closing a multi-billion dollar real estate deal or trying to get your honey locked in on Summer vacation plans. It’s all about emphasizing the other party’s pleasure zones – “I see you relaxing in this outdoor garden space on your own spa days every Saturday, just sign here.” Or, “Honey look, this beach cabin is just minutes to that golf course you love. You could be gone for hours all day every day and I wouldn’t even complain about it.” Pour your oozing charm and wit into every idea you are selling now and you are going to have fun, and maybe even profit too. Sincerity is key, remember. But in Leo season, flattery gets you everywhere.

Every single one of us has something that drives us, inspires us to take action, and we all take action in different ways when we are driven to act. This is found through the location of Mars in the birth chart. Mars is the one who makes you say, GO!
Mars in astrology represents your energy and drive. Through your Mars, you know what will force you to take action, and the ways in which you will act. Mars is our inner warrior (and does rule war, after all), and shows how the warrior spirit in you manifests.
People often think of Mars in tandem with Venus, and the two are a bit of a yin-yang pair. Mars doesn’t wait for things to happen. Mars is the one making things happen! Venus lets everything come to Venus. Venus waits while Mars creates!
Why You Should Pay Attention to Your Mars Placement
Understanding how your Mars operates can show you how you can best take action when you want to. You can learn how to take control of your energy and drive so you can use them to your advantage. When you know how your energy works, you know how to manipulate it to have more energy, to get more done, and to be more active in your life.
Mars in astrology also governs being assertive, standing up your yourself and what you want, and going for it. Mars doesn’t need permission, nor does Mars even ask. Mars goes right for it! This gives Mars a pioneering spirit, and makes Mars willing to pave new roads.
So how does your Mars placement manifest for you? Read on to find out!
Mars in Aries
Aries is the sign Mars naturally rules, so Mars is strong in fiery Aries, and makes your energy and drive strong as well. You can feel most driven to take action with the things you want for yourself, or that will allow you to embark on a new path. You can get excited by new beginnings, and don’t want to wait too long before taking action. Doing a little homework first can be of benefit to you so you don’t let impulse ruin your passion.
Mars in Taurus
Mars in patient Taurus means your energy is a slow burn. You can take your time with actually getting started, and want to be confident first before you act. But once you do act and are confident, you can stick with it all the way until the end, no matter how difficult it may be. This allows you to achieve some big things when you focus, but it can also get you stuck on something that you should walk away from. Know when to call it quits!
Mars in Gemini
Gemini is the sign of the mind, so Mars in Gemini brings lots of mental energy. It may seem like there is never a shortage of ideas, you constantly want something new to focus on to entertain your energetic mind, and can be an endless talker (especially when stressed or anxious). You can pick up lots of little projects and work to make lots of different ideas reality, but you can also get bored quickly and easily. Maintain some healthy variety to avoid the boredom and scattered brain, and keep yourself busy to cut down on fidgeting.
Mars in Cancer
Cancer is the sign of emotions, so Mars in Cancer means when you feel something strongly, you can be driven to act, and your emotions act as a catalyst for action. This can be positive or negative, and that doesn’t depend on the emotion itself. It depends on the decisions you make, and how well you feel supported in your life. Even extreme anger or hatred or jealousy or sadness can be turned into something amazing for you. You just need to keep emotions from clouding your judgement and improve your objectivity.
Mars in Leo
Leo is a super creative sign, so having Mars in Leo can make you a super creative person, and one who is driven to act on creative pursuits. You want to create, and this can be professionally, in the arts, with hobbies, or even with children (don’t go making 20 of them now!). You may feel more energized when you’re getting attention and praise, and you may feel more driven to pursue the desires of your ego. You can stay with things for a while, and try to see it through.
Mars in Virgo
Virgo is the sign of work, so Mars in Virgo means you’re someone who is driven to get things done. You likely loathe having a long list of things to do, so you make plans and schedules to get them done, and maintain routines to keep it from happening again. The more you do, the more energy you may feel you have to do even more. You just keep going and going! So, you do need to make sure to plan for breaks in that packed schedule of yours so nervousness doesn’t set in.
Mars in Libra
Libra is the sign of relationships, so having Mars in Libra can show you have more energy and drive when you’re with others, to pursue opportunities with a partner, or to focus on your relationships. The better your relationships are, the more energy you can have. If you’re out of balance or surrounded by disharmony, your energy can tank. Since other people can matter a lot to you, you may take action most when it’s to help someone else or stand up for someone else.
Mars in Scorpio
Scorpio was originally ruled by Mars (before Pluto came along), so Mars can be strong in Scorpio, just like with Aries. Unlike Aries, Scorpio isn’t quite so impulsive though, so Mars in Scorpio can do the homework required before jumping into something. You can get wrapped up in what you pursue deeply, and this can allow you to get to the bottom of anything, but it can also make you obsessive. Learning to have some emotional distance can help, though you don’t want to lose your passion. It’s part of what gives you such a strong will.
Mars in Sagittarius
Sagittarius loves an adventure, so Mars in Sagittarius is most driven to pursue new experiences, go to new places, meet new people, and learn new things. This placement can be very optimistic and loves freedom, so committing to anything for too long may be a challenge. But you can be a student of the world, and gain much wisdom through the experiences you have, and you’re more than willing to share that with others. You may lack drive for things you deem too serious, and focus more on the things you find fun and light.
Mars in Capricorn
Capricorn rules goals, so Mars in Capricorn tends to be highly ambitious and driven to pursue your goals. You may have total control over your energy, very disciplined and focused, and this can help you to act. You can see the way the pieces fit together, and craft long-term plans that are super realistic and practical. This helps you achieve even more in your life, but you can keep your emotions to yourself at times, and need to open up more. This can help you when you experience setbacks so you don’t give up.
Mars in Aquarius
Aquarius is an independent original, so Mars in Aquarius is driven to do things in new, unusual, unconventional ways. You can feel more driven and energized when you’re being independent and allowed to explore what’s different. Your energy may not seem very high on the outside, and you can stay cool externally, but you can get riled up when you’re focused on your dreams and future. Causes can also be of importance to you, and you can stand up in a broader way.
Mars in Pisces
Pisces is a Mutable Water sign, which makes it very difficult to pin down, so Mars in flowy Pisces can have a hard time with taking control of action. Instead, you’re driven by your intuition, your strong inner mystic, and the subtle energies all around you. You may feel most driven to embark on spiritual pursuits, and a connection to your spiritual self can help you feel more energized in your life. Imaginative energy can be strong, and you can be a highly creative person. You can feel more driven to help others than to help yourself at times.
Understanding Mars can help you find what it is that drives you in life, and how you get your energy. Mars in your birth chart shows where and how you take action with your inner warrior!

You may know about your planets, houses and zodiac signs in your birth chart, but did you know that asteroids in your chart can also add a layer of understanding to your personality? Asteroids are the cherry on top of a very complex, but delicious astrological cake. They enrich all astrological readings and provide additional details we may not observe otherwise.
Like planets, asteroids have themes and relate to specific characteristics. There are literally thousands of asteroids, but today we will cover only the most used and popular ones – Vesta, Pallas, Lilith, Ceres and Juno. Let’s dig in!
The Significance of Asteroids in Astrology:
Roman Goddess Vesta is the keeper of the sacred flame. The Vestal Virgins took care of her temple in Rome and were responsible for keeping her flame always burning. Fire was sacred in ancient times, it was an ancient symbol for sexuality and fertility, the divine spark of life, so these ladies had a very important job. The girls were chosen in their childhood and would take a vow of chastity and celibacy for 30 years and those that would break their vow would be buried alive. After the 30 year service, they were allowed to leave and marry, but many used to choose to continue their service.
Astrologically, Vesta relates with Virgo and Scorpio, she symbolizes the ability to concentrate on a specific goal, the dedication and devotion to something and/or someone. The house she is in tends to show where you can be very dedicated even willing to make self-sacrifices for the greater good and where you can maintain your focus. She also shows where you need to keep your inner flame burning and what you need to take care of. Vesta symbolizes sacred sexuality, kundalini energy, spiritual commitment, dedication, purity, diligence, self-discipline, focused passion and is service oriented.
From the sacred fire we go to the Warrior Queen, Pallas Athena. Pallas Athena was skillful in battle and highly intelligent, with remarkable reasoning and logic. As the Goddess of wisdom, she was seen as a strategist and a tactician, and preferred to resolve disputes through wisdom. She was able to make her decisions with logic, detachment and impartiality. She helped many heroes in their endeavors including Odysseus in his trip from Troy.
Astrologically, asteroid Pallas shows where we have the ability to be objective, to use our intellectual skills and creative understanding. She shows the ability to recognize patterns and to understand complex communications, she understands and picks up the unspoken and subliminal messages. On another hand, Pallas symbolizes many modern women: the beautiful, intelligent, independent and career-oriented woman born in a world dominated by men, as such, she brings the strength of feminine wisdom to the house and sign she is placed in.
Lilith has been quite distorted throughout the times. She was praised for expressing her personal freedom and sexual passion. She is the natural feminine, the unconditioned woman, she is independent, fierce and bows to no man. She symbolizes true feminine power. Lilith’s natural expression is raw femininity and sexual passion.
All of us have a masculine and a feminine side independently of our gender, and asteroid Lilith represents in the chart where we have the impression of the undistorted female image. On a man’s chart, Lilith reflects his ideal image of a woman. However, if the energy is afflicted, it shows where we experience suppression, resentment, bitterness and anger.
Ceres is our next asteroid, and what a story she has.
Daughter of Saturn and Rhea, Ceres was the Goddess of agriculture and harvest. She was extremely close with and protective of her daughter Persephone and rejected all Persephone’s suitors, obviously this was a recipe for disaster… Pluto, God of the Underworld, was determined to marry Persephone even if Ceres didn’t allow it.
One day, while Persephone was picking flowers, Pluto opened the earth under her feet and kidnapped her. Ceres noticed her daughter was missing, and in her grief, she stopped taking care of herself and her duties, so crops started dying and mankind suffered from starvation. Persephone was not doing very well either, as she missed her mother, so Pluto allowed her to visit Ceres, but before she went, he offered her several pomegranate seeds.
Without knowing pomegranate seeds denote sexual consummation, Persephone ate them, validating and confirming her marriage to Pluto. When Persephone visited her mother, Ceres rejoiced but quickly angered after finding out Persephone ate the seeds and would have to return to Pluto. In the end, Persephone was allowed to visit her mother during certain months, at this time the earth was fertile, crops grew and prosperity abounded and spring was born. When it was time for Persephone to go back to Pluto in the Underworld, Ceres would mourn and grieve, ignoring her tending for the earth, and the fall season would take place.
With all that said, astrologically, Ceres symbolizes parental nurturing. She tells us about one’s experiences with their maternal figure, she can show love for gardening and food, she is about being able to share what we most treasure. On the downside, she represents loss, mourning, grief, obsessive and overly protective behaviors, separations and difficult mothers in law!
Juno, Goddess of Marriage is also known as the Goddess Hera, wife of Zeus. Juno was worshiped in Rome and the month of June was named in her honor. Zeus had many affairs and sired many children from those affairs, but Hera always stayed at his side faithfully. She has been sometimes portrayed as vengeful, possessive, manipulative and jealous.
Juno represents the capacity for committed relationships using the feminine energies to express creativity, sensitivity, equality and faithfulness. She relates to equality and balance in relationships, the need for commitment, passion, intimacy and joy. She represents sexuality within a committed relationship. Juno corresponds to a relationship where both partners support each other’s personal growth. Juno’s location in the chart gives clues about the life partner and shows what you need daily to stay in a relationship. The distorted energy would relate to fears of betrayal and abandonment is relationships as well as the oppression of women.
Finally, an honorable mention to Chiron who is a Centaur and not an asteroid, but a very important piece in our charts. The wounded healer connects to those deep unresolved issues we have. Find more about him in my article, Everything You Need to Know About Chiron in Aries.
These are the most used asteroids in astrology, all of them are very important symbols, so pay attention to their own transits in the sky. There are many more asteroids and each of them has a specialized meaning in our birth charts. Exploring asteroids it’s like an endless journey of discovery and fascination, one that allows us to unravel specific information about ourselves.
Which one is your favorite? Do you like the sexy, rebellious Lilith? Or do you prefer the spiritual oriented Vesta? Perhaps your motherly instincts choose Ceres?

If you’ve been wanting to give your love life a boost, the Tarot is just the tool you need to ignite the first sparks. The Tarot builds the bridge to the answers that your intuition has waiting for you.
So, break out your favorite summer outfit, let your hair down, and grab those Tarot cards because it’s time to open up to the magic in the Universe to bring love into your summer. Here are two simple questions you can ask the Tarot right now to spin the universal wheel towards those summer love butterflies.
Question 1: What is Blocking Me from Love Right Now?
Tarot allows us to take inventory of the energy our subconscious mind creates. If we are holding anger or fear from a past relationship, we will essentially not match the frequency of healthy loving relationships, so manifesting love that’s categorically lovely will be just about as easy as climbing Mount Everest with a blindfold.
Our first step in manifesting summer love is recognizing and releasing our own energetic blocks. This simple Tarot spread will help you see how to release a way of thinking that may be keeping you from bumping into that special someone.
You can use our free 3-card spread if you don’t have your own Tarot deck. The question you want to pose to the Tarot is simply what energetic pattern within your consciousness needs to be released? You can phrase this in any way you’d like, but know that the more specific you can get, the better. Try not to ask in such a way that you’re setting up a yes/no question, as the Tarot works best when given the opportunity to really speak.
- The first card represents an event that happened in the past.
- The second card represents how that event is manifesting a blockage.
- The third card reveals your future if you don’t address this blockage or buildup of bad energy.
Reflect on each card that comes up and try to see how they connect to one another, telling a larger story. Taking responsibility for the energy you’re bringing into your romantic life is the most empowering way to heal your relationships and open yourself up to the next great thing.
Question 2: How Can I Adjust My Energy to Attract Love?
Now you’re ready to direct your energy by asking your intuition what to focus on. When you generate positive vibrations, the Universe mirrors them back to you, as per the Law of Attraction. In order to manifest love, we are going to get your energy in a consistently positive state. If we are truly happy and proud of who we are, we will be open to love and attract nice people. If we are treating ourselves well, we will meet someone who treats us well. If we are open to new experiences, they will show up. Are you starting to see how this works?
Pull just one card after asking how you can adjust your energy or what to focus on to open yourself up to love. Asking this particular question puts you in control of your destiny, rather than waiting around hoping something will happen. The Tarot can then present you with practical, actionable, specific advice that you can go forward and apply in your life.
Read the definition of the card (feel free to use our Tarot card interpretations) and reflect on what it’s telling you to focus on. Allow yourself to relax as you study and think about the card and distill what to focus on to shift your frequency. The truth will arise for you when you relax and trust that it’s there. You don’t have to force or fear anything, just surrender to the truth that is right in front of you and let it surprise you. Often we think things need to be complicated, but often the most helpful truth is extremely simple.
If you’d like, do this Tarot reading for summer love once a week or even every day so you can be in constant communication with your intuition and the energies of the Universe. Consider keeping a journal to write down your reflections in. Or, more simply, if there’s a certain card that is significant to you (perhaps you draw the same card often, or you learned a very important lesson from a particular card), keep it with you or somewhere you’ll see it often. This will help you keep the Tarot’s guidance at the forefront of your mind.
Ultimately, the true power of divination tools including the Tarot is in their ability to connect us to our intuition and help us activate the Law of Attraction in our favour. In short, focus on the feeling of love and love will arrive.

Traditionally, Reiki symbols were passed from master to student in the attunement process. Only with the internet have the 5 Reiki symbols become widely available.
The symbols open us to a new way of thinking, a spiritual way of thinking. The powerful life force energy they create can be channelled through the whole body and shared with others. Today, we’re going to look at what the Reiki symbols mean and how they work in order to understand them better.
Below are the 5 Reiki symbols and what they are used for. That said, awakening to Reiki energy and being able to use it takes time and practice. Just because Reiki symbols are easily found online now, it’s important to remember that learning energy healing through Reiki is a process. It changes your life and consciousness, and those changes are best experienced gradually instead of all at once. To avoid energetic overload, it’s in your best interest not to use these symbols without guidance from a trained Reiki practitioner.
Click the links below to see images of each Reiki symbol.
Cho Ku Rei: Power
The Cho Ku Rei Reiki symbol is one of three given in a level two attunement. It can be used to add or remove energy. If a chakra is under-active, it is used to direct energy into the chakra, and if it’s blocked, this symbol can be used to remove the block. It’s essentially like a valve that can be pushed either way.
It is a spiral that starts in the center and then has a line cutting through and to the side. You cannot harm anyone with this symbol but you can help seal their energy or use it to protect their energy.
This symbol can be used if you need a boost of energy to get through the day or for physical healing. It can also be used to remove negative energy surrounding a part of your life or help add energy to a part that you want to bring into focus. There’s no real limit as to what you can remove a block from or add energy to, whether it be more of an idea or more related to the function of the body.
Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen: Distance Healing
Hon Sha Ze Sho Nen is given in level two as well, and it allows you to send energy at a distance or into the future or past. It is hard for people to grasp if they haven’t been studying energy or felt Reiki but it is very real and powerful. It can help in tremendous ways. Send it to past traumas to help heal the energy of the trauma or to future events so they will have an outcome that is aligned with the highest good.
This can help with ancestral wounds, past life trauma, childhood traumas as well as those experienced in adulthood. Sending the energy out and trusting it will go where it needs to go is meant to allow the energy to work for you because its whole nature is to harmonize. It will create subtle shifts of awareness because of the intention to heal.
Sei Hei Ki: Mental/Emotional Healing
The Sei Hei Ki Reiki symbol is meant to bring balance and harmony to the emotions and mind. It’s most known for being able to bring balance between the two sides of the brain, essentially the Yin and the Yang. If someone is overly analytical and lacking in creativity or intuition or vice versa, this is a great symbol to use. There are many emotional issues that can be harmonized by calling in this energy.
This symbol can help you think clearly, eliminate addiction, and even become more stable if your emotions are overpowering sound judgment. It is a great symbol for people who are always picking up on energy from others or their environment so that they do not become drained by the energy around them. It can help to direct the subconscious towards positive healing thoughts instead of negative fear-based ones.
Dai Ko Myo: The Master Symbol
The Dai Ko Myo Reiki symbol is a combination of the first three symbols learned in level two and is given in the master level attunement. It combines the energy of the three symbols together and helps you move beyond duality consciousness.
It is said to help one reach enlightenment and the most powerful of all the symbols. It has many uses and helps heal the soul. It ultimately helps one experience the love that pervades throughout the universe and can help them sense their connection to all that is. Many cultures have words for this but the experience likely transcends human language.
Raku is said to be the kundalini healing symbol which is given to a master Reiki healer. It is said that this symbol was added into the Usui system, so some do not consider it officially a part of the original Reiki symbols. That doesn’t negate its power though!
It is the fifth Reiki symbol given to a master practitioner and is used for grounding energy into the person. It can be used to clear all of the chakras as well. It is believed this was a Tibetian Buddhist form of healing. This can help someone who is awakened to energy integrate it into their life.
Reiki symbols can be used simply by setting your intention to connect to their energy. You can physically draw them, visualize them or draw them in the air with your finger or hand. They help direct energy as a circuit directs electricity. You can also say the name of the symbol mentally or out loud to activate the energy of it. You may want to draw the symbols and place them on the wall to raise the vibration of the space.
Ultimately, the power of intention is what is being employed in these Reiki symbols. Thoughts are the most powerful wavelength and are able to move beyond time and space. That means we must guard our intention when using the symbols just as we must guard our thoughts. Reiki is only to help heal and never to control someone or manipulate.

It’s change time, friends! Are you ready? This Summer 2019 is another eclipse Summer, and that means that we all are undergoing some major change.
The first one around is the New Moon in Cancer and solar eclipse that is happening on July 2, 2019. Like every New Moon, this one is going to be about new beginnings, but major ones in our lives because this New Moon is accompanied by an eclipse. In a solar eclipse, the Moon’s orbit passes between the Earth and the Sun, hiding the Sun from our view. That’s the physical sense of an eclipse. This will be followed by the lunar eclipse later this month. It’s a month of hidden information.
But spiritually, and in an astrological sense, it means that information is hidden from view. We need that information to create big changes in our lives. Sometimes we freak out when we don’t get it when we think we want it. This is the spiritual test of the New Moon. To have faith that it will come. When it does and our karmic path is clean, we win and experience some of the most joyful events of our lives.
So today, we are going to look at that forecast with the New Moon in Cancer solar eclipse happening this month!
New Moon in Cancer Solar Eclipse Themes
With the New Moon in Cancer solar eclipse, we have a few moving parts when it comes to themes. We have the New Moon, we have Cardinal Water sign Cancer, and we have a solar eclipse.
This particular New Moon in Cancer and solar eclipse is, as a whole, working to connect us to our roots, our family, or the legacies in our lives that make us feel connected to the world.
New Moons, meanwhile, are all about new beginnings. But the sky is very dark under this New Moon, and that means that we can’t see what we want to see to make decisions on new beginnings. The Universe is asking us to have a little blind faith in our karmic decisions of the past so that we can make good ones now.
Then, we have the Cancer influence. This is the Cardinal sign of the Water signs undergoing an eclipse moment. Cancer is the Mother figure of the zodiac. She is the nurturer and the goddess represented by the Empress card in the Tarot. Princess Diana was a Cancer. She is the perfect example of being a Cancer. It is energy such as this soft, gentle, and spirited life that embodies this Cancer New Moon.
Lastly, the eclipse factor. This is a solar eclipse, where the Moon hides the Sun from us here on Earth. The Sun will be eclipsed, hidden, and so will material information pertaining to your sense of self.
No one knows what’s next. And the Universe is saying that is okay. All will be revealed in due time. But for now, ready yourself as best you can, starting with your New Moon in Cancer solar eclipse horoscope!

The Runic alphabet – also known as futhark – is a mystical writing system whose origins are mysterious. This alphabet is thought to date back to the 3rd century, was used by people of Germanic regions – such as Britain, Europe and Scandinavia – and is one of the more recent lingual inventions in the grand scheme of language.
The Runic alphabet was discovered on runestones – slabs of stone with letters inscribed on them, often found near gravesites from 950 to 1100 AD – and some 50 runestones have been discovered as of today. Most runestones were found in Sweden, however they have also been discovered in Norway, Denmark and Greenland.
According to Norse mythology, Odin – the god of wisdom, divination, magic, poetry and death – stabbed himself in the heart with his own weapon and hung himself from Yggdrasil – the world tree – for over a week in order to understand the meanings of each rune. The Well of Urd, also known as the Well of Fate, provided the information that would be used to create the Runic alphabet and it was thought that this information was rich with meaning, spiritual wisdom and insight.
It is through the wisdom of the Earth and Odin’s sacrifice that we are able to use this alphabet as a metaphysical tool in our modern lives.
This alphabet was typically carved upon pieces of wood or bone, which were then used for purposes of divination through a process called “runecasting.” Runecasting is thought to utilize the wisdom of the subconscious, allowing us to see the hidden answers that lie deep within our psyche.
The term “futhark” is based on the first six letters of Elder Futhark – the oldest Runic alphabet to have ever been identified – which represent F, U, Th, A, R and K in English. The Elder Futhark was discovered in Gotland, Sweden, inscribed on the Kylver Stone, and dates back to 400 AD.
The Younger Futhark was developed during the Viking age (circa 793-1066) and contains only 16 runes – a result of the increasingly complicated languages of Germanic tribes at that time. There are two types of Younger Futhark – long branch, whose origins are Danish, and short twig, which hail from Swedish and Norwegian cultures.
While both the Elder and Younger Futharks represent ancient Runic alphabets, it is the Elder Futhark which is inscribed on modern rune sets.
