Month: January 2020

In a year that promises to be one of radical change and social upheaval, 2020 starts the year off in January with a lunar boom – not just a Full Moon, but a lunar eclipse; what’s more, a lunar eclipse in Cancer.

What does this mean? A Full Moon in Cancer is a powerful Full Moon in itself – Full Moons traditionally represent times of harvest and reaching the peak of something (hence why manifestation is so popular during this time). But a lunar eclipse is when the Moon is full, yet its light is blocked by the shadow of the earth.

Hence, a lunar eclipse’s entire meaning differs from an ordinary Full Moon. A lunar eclipse is like the shadow of the shadow – the Moon itself is often viewed as a symbol of what is hidden and the subconscious (especially in the Tarot cards) but a lunar eclipse goes even deeper into that subconscious, finding things that we did not even know were there. Think of entering a cave, only to find a cave hidden within that cave. That sums up a lunar eclipse in a nutshell.

This lunar eclipse is in Cancer which makes it even more potent. The Moon rules Cancer so it feels most at home here – this is where sensitivity and the imagination are at their most powerful. A person with Moon in Cancer in their natal chart will possess these qualities, but can also be moody and ‘crabby’.

So, what does this lunar eclipse on January 10th, 2020 bring?

It will be a far more sensitive and even vulnerable time for us all. We may feel more prone to mood swings and we may be forced to confront aspects of ourselves and our relationships that are currently hidden. The lunar eclipse in Cancer brings with it a greater sense of nurturing, but also paves the way for us to clearly see the consequences of our actions. No more pretenses or falsities – this is the time when everything is brought into the open. It can be a challenging time, but it is also a powerful time for transformation.

We can prepare ourselves by doing a Tarot card reading designed to help us during this mystical time. Check your daily Tarot online for added insight and try the spread below to help guide you during this eclipse. As this is a time, a reading focusing on the direction our life is taking at this time and what we need to focus on is most helpful during this eclipse. Hidden things may be revealed to us, but in the long-term, it will be for the better.

4-Card Tarot Spread: Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Cancer

Question: What is this lunar eclipse trying to tell me?

  • Card 1: What requires my focus in 2020
  • Card 2: What is hidden at this time
  • Card 3: How should I deal with the hidden aspect
  • Card 4: The outcome, if I face it

Below is an example reading so you can see how it is done:

Card 1: 9 of Cups

This is usually a jolly and happy card but we have to remember that we are reading it in the context of the lunar eclipse in Cancer. The 9 of Cups stands for satisfaction and joy, but it also stands for indulgence and smugness. It can also point to a drinking problem! This card tells me I may be over-indulging – whether it is in food, drink or something else – and it requires attention.

Card 2: The High Priestess

This card would suggest the problem in Card 1 is hidden deep within my subconsciousness and I am getting the feeling there is denial involved. The High Priestess is the card of the subconscious, very much in tune with the Moon herself. This indulgence may be so great that I may have told myself it isn’t really there!

Card 3: The Sun

A powerful card in the advice section! The Sun is all about exposure and bringing things to the light. It is also a strong card for honesty. In this case, the honesty is with myself. I need to face this issue of indulgence that I have and admit it is there. Only by drawing it into the light and admitting it exists can I then begin to work on it.

Card 4: Queen of Pentacles

A beautiful card to receive in the outcome. The Queen of Pentacles is grounded and very much connected to the earth. She represents everything in the physical world, including health and wealth. In this context and in relation to the other cards, I would say she represents good health. This indicates to me that if I choose to tackle my indulgence issues, I will become the Queen of Pentacles by the end. A very positive outcome.

Remember to keep an eye onour Instagram to check out a live reading using this Tarot spread to see how it works in action!

The lunar eclipse in Cancer is indicative of the great change that looks set to sweep across the world in 2020, but this change must start from within. Combine the powerful forces of the Tarot with the potent lunar rays and see how you can be part of this sweeping change.

Change is not always easy, but very often it is necessary to pave the way for better things.

Learning Tarot and find yourself unsure where to begin? Just pulled an Ace in a reading? Confused as to how to distinguish the Aces from each other?

As a card that often represents a breakthrough, consider this a fitting read! Let’s put any confusion to rest in unpacking what Aces are, what they might mean in a reading, and how they are both similar and different at times.

What is an Ace in the Tarot?

An Ace represents a new beginning and the birth of a fresh path, hence why they are the opening act for each suit! Each Ace is riddled with opportunity and potential, but keep in mind – it really is just potential, and it’s up to you to do the work (and swipe the opportunity).

Aces are signals of manifestation time, open doors, and are beautiful, yet sometimes intimidating, cards to receive. Often depicted as a hand holding up an object representing each suit with puffs of smoke or air indicating movement, the Aces are truly meant to be a strong beginning for each suit, and can often be easily remembered simply by looking at the boldness of the artwork and symbolism.

In numerology, a 1 as a Life Path number is a leader and pioneer – they are bursting with energy and have a central goal of moulding their passion and will into tangible results. Much like Life Path 1’s, Aces, also vibrating on the same numerical frequency as Life Path 1’s, also present the challenge of extending the energy and opportunity, but ask you to take the steps on your own to make something of them.

The Aces Through the Suits:

For Aces, in particular, it is easy to mix and match a random suit with the concept of the Ace and understand what it could mean, so long as you understand what an Ace is and what each suit is. Pair the concept of a breakthrough or beginning of a path with the primary concepts of each suit, and you likely understand the Aces!

For example, a Pentacle card often discusses finance, work, career, and financial opportunities. If you find the Ace of Pentacles in a reading, you can assume that this brings forth the idea of a new job opportunity, or the beginning of a career path, or perhaps even a shift in the way that one perceives money.

Still confused? Let’s discuss each of the Aces below in more detail!

Ace of Cups

As the suit of Cups encapsulates themes like love, emotion, relationships, intuition, and spirituality, the Ace of Cups could represent the beginning of a new relationship, a spiritual awakening, or a period of emotional breakthroughs and happiness. In the beginning of this new cycle, there lie opportunities for emotional and spiritual growth, and the challenge of still keeping your cool among all of the excitement and high stakes emotional energy.

Ace of Wands

A suit of ambition, momentum, excitement, and energy, the suit of Wands is literally associated with fire – and what better way to capture the entrepreneurial and trailblazer spirit of Wands than with an Ace? The Ace of Wands can be applied to most areas of life and aren’t exactly limited to relationships or career or anything at all – it can be representing a force of energy and breakthrough everywhere, or it can be describing the newfound optimistic attitude you might have as you begin a new path.

Ace of Swords

The suit of Swords holds command over themes like truth, thought, mental clarity, and decisive and swift action. The Ace of Swords can often be a signal that the time for taking action is now, or that you are meant to be the driving force behind any change occurring in your life. It asks of you to maintain clear thought and know that you hold all of the answers you need – you can cut through the clouds of confusion with a movement of your sword, and voilà! A breakthrough has been born.

Ace of Pentacles

The suit of Pentacles occupies the energy of Earth, of being grounded, secure, and abundant in tangible ways like finances and home. As noted before, the Ace of Pentacles can represent various job opportunities, financial breakthroughs, or a fresh start when it comes to money and cash flow.

    To Summarize…

Each Ace may represent a breakthrough or a beginning in some sense, but it can vary as to where you might see the breakthrough or beginning depending on the suit you see. However, unlike other cards of the Tarot, the similarities of each Ace is a little more obvious – they are each meant to both open up each suit, as well as the corresponding area of life the suit might represent.

Kicking off with remembering the Aces when you are beginning to learn and read the Tarot can be a great place to start – as, of course, an Ace not only rules over, but encourages a start of any kind!

The Crystals You Need During Capricorn Season:

Caps may try to convince you that they are simply realistic, but the truth is that their practical approach to life can border on cynical or pessimistic. Jet is a wonderful crystal to use to even this energy out. While you probably won’t be able to find a crystal that will turn a Capricorn into a bubbling optimist, jet can help you see things from a neutral point of view, removing the negativity from your vision.

Garnet is a beautiful, deep red crystal that is associated with Capricorn; garnet is one of Cap’s birthstones. It amplifies Capricorn energy in general, but specifically penetrating the heart. Garnet promotes love and attracts romance, making it an excellent stone to work with for anyone looking to increase the love in their life. This crystal can help you get in touch with the hopeless romantic inside of you.

    Green Aventurine

Green aventurine comes in shades of green, often with glittering flecks of minerals. This crystal is often referred to as the Stone of Opportunity because of its powers of manifestation. It attracts both opportunity and abundance, and beyond that, it has a very uplifting energy. This stone helps us during times of loneliness, lifting the heart and reminding us that we are loved. January is often cited as the most depressing month of the year, so this an excellent crystal to work with during the Capricorn season.

    White Howlite

Capricorns are motivated and seek success, but you may forget to take a break and practice self-care, which we all need. You are not impervious to needing rest, Capricorn, and you will end up burning out if you keep running along your path so fast. Remember how fast the Titanic was going when it crashed into an avoidable iceberg? When we move too fast, we may not be able to see obstacles in our path – such as emotional or physical exhaustion.

White howlite will remind you take a moment, stretch your limbs, and smell the fresh air. It calms the spirit and allows you to relax into those mundane moments that may otherwise feel alien or anxiety-inducing to you. This crystal lets your body and your mind take a much-needed rest.

    Snowflake Obsidian

Snowflake obsidian has a purifying energy that cleanses the space around it, removing negativity and energetic impurities. This crystal, typically a dark grey with lighter spots all over, helps you recognize patterns of thought that are no longer serving you, and it helps you release those patterns.

Another crystal that soothes feelings of loneliness, it also has a calming effect on the body. It provides balance between the mind, body, and soul, and allows one to sink into meditation with ease. This is an especially useful stone to use during yogic or meditative practices.

    Celebrating Capricorn Energy

Saturn is planet that challenges us and teaches us the lessons we need to learn in order to grow and become successful and abundant; and while this is certainly a blessing in the long run, it can feel overwhelming when Saturn’s energy is palpable.

Because Capricorn is ruled by Saturn, that energy may feel more intense than usual during the Capricorn season, and it’s important to remember that challenging situations are what shape us into the strong, courageous people that we are.

Try to embrace the feeling of responsibility and the urge towards hard work that may be felt during this time. By using the crystals listed in this guide, you will feel more capable of staying positive and motivated, even during times of stress. The motivating, inspiring energy of the Capricorn constellation is perhaps the greatest gift given during this astrological period.

Represented by the lion, a Leo man is confident and knows what he wants.

But like Scorpio, Taurus and Aquarius, the Leo sign is a Fixed sign. That means he can come off as stubborn or resistant to change. The good thing is that his upbeat attitude is great in groups or one-on-one if you need a little pick-me-up.

Just make sure you don’t dump too much on your enthusiastic and positive Leo man – his tolerance for sadness is often short-lived, and too much negativity or self-pity can drive him to seek the company of others.

And seek the company of others he will. He’s a natural leader with high social intelligence and charisma—and he hates to be alone. Even if he’s working on a big project or studying for an exam, he loves being around people, and he’s always looking for an excuse to rope others into his work, as long as they don’t let the Leo man down.

That’s because, for all of his positivity, he can be an ardent critic, especially of his own work and the work of people he loves. So don’t go looking for Leo’s support if you’re unsure about your latest creation – he’ll give you the painful truth whether you’re ready for it or not.

    Leo Personality – Male

The male Leo personality is one of extremes. Loving and charming one minute, spiraling into an egotistical and controlling fright the next. But as long as you show your Leo the positivity that he naturally exudes, you’ll keep him on the bright and right side of things.

And even if he does dip into those negative traits, it usually doesn’t take much to get him bouncing off the walls in excitement—just make sure you’ve got a lot of distractions handy so you can flip the script if his mood turns sour.

But don’t think that the Leo man in your life is some fragile being. He’s not. And his default mode of always up and on is what makes him a popular personality to be around. After all, who couldn’t use a few more moments of optimism and enthusiasm in their lives?

Learn more with the Leo daily horoscope.

    Positive Leo Traits – Male

Warm, compassionate and generous, a Leo man can be a delight to be around, especially during a night out with friends or on a date. Most times, his enthusiasm and energy are infectious, and you’ll find yourself falling into his fun and rambunctious personality over and over.

Once you get to know a Leo man, his loyal and supportive tendencies won’t ever make you feel like you’re second-best. His sincerity and sensitivity is the icing on the cake, and he can be just as happy scrapbooking and reminiscing as he is hanging out with the guys.

A Leo man is also supportive and ambitious, so you won’t catch him lounging around when there’s work to be done. And once he’s achieved success, he’s quick to share the spoils with his loved ones, and it’s not unheard of for him to shower his significant other with objects of his affection.

    Negative Leo Characteristics – Male

However, it’s not always bright and sunny with a Leo man. In his worst moments, he can be controlling, domineering and demanding, particularly when things aren’t going his way. He also tends to be lazy, but only when he sees his work as beneath him or if he isn’t fully invested in a project.

If he feels marginalized or slighted, a Leo man may find himself butting heads with others, especially leaders, because he hates to take direction if he feels the project is headed in the wrong direction. And if he doesn’t feel supported in his opinions, emotions or actions, forget it. He can hightail it out of there so fast you’ll wonder why he cared so much about it all in the first place.

But the biggest issue with a Leo man is that he must always be moving forward. If he feels his career or relationship sagging, he’s quick to point fingers and move on, especially if he feels underappreciated. And once he decides his energy is better spent elsewhere, it’s hard to change Leo’s stubborn mind.

    Leo Men in a Relationship

Because a Leo man is strong and confident, they’re easily won over by bold women with a dab of moxie. He’ll be intrigued by your strength, and he’ll put his best foot forward as he attempts to win your affections. Give him a little bit and you’ll keep his attention. But give him too much or not enough and he’ll quickly grow bored and move on to another. You can know exactly how much by reading the Leo love horoscope.

That’s because a Leo man doesn’t live for love. He’ll shower you with it if you manage to pierce his guarded exterior, but he’s also content with family and friends and temporary flames. He isn’t one to dwell for long over a relationship gone bad.

But if you make him feel wanted and capture his attention with your self-assuredness, he’ll seek out your company and influence as an equal, not as someone to dominate and toss aside.

    Understanding a Leo Man

Unlike the lion in The Wizard of Oz, a real-life Leo man doesn’t lack courage or conviction. Instead of being cowardly or unsure, he’s charismatic, charming and has an excellent sense of humor and high social intelligence. He’s also supportive, compassionate, warm, and generous, and if you have a Leo man in your life, you know how sweet he can be.

But if you cross or bore him, lookout. He may not exact revenge, but he’ll move on with an indifference that can really hurt, especially if you’ve shared a lot of quality time together. However, as long as you’re supportive and as competitive as he is, you’ll enjoy many positive moments with this bundle of fun – and he might even surprise you when you least expect it.

Taureans are earthy and refined, with a loyalty toward their loved ones that can hardly be rivalled. The love you show to your friends and family is almost as sweet as this Honey Pecan Pie, whose nutty pecans resemble your grounded nature. This pie will win over a room as quickly as your personality does.

Geminis have a dual nature as the twins of the zodiac, which means you get the sweet and the slightly sour – yet these two dynamics complement each other perfectly. Your personality is similar to the complexity of a delicious cheesecake with a tart berry sauce. The flavors go so well together that you would never choose one over the other, much like the different sides of your spirit.

Devoted and deep, the love of a Cancer feels like home. Cancers know how to make their friends and family feel comfortable, and they make excellent hosts. Their style is classic, like holiday fudge. It’s a taste that you know and love, and one that you can’t quite get enough of. Your nature is sweet, and you know how to make your guests feel happy, just like the holidays.

Libras are an Air sign that love beauty, thanks to their ruling planet, Venus. Nothing could represent you as well as this gorgeous English trifle, with its delicious flavors and bright, vivid colors. You have an appreciation for the beauty in life, and everyone around you enjoys that sense of wonder so inherent to who you are.

Scorpios are a mysterious Water sign, with a depth of emotion. Your personality is magnetic and a bit dizzying, your sensual nature intoxicating. The holiday treat that matches the charisma you exude are holiday rum balls. With their boozy yet sweet flavors, they’re hard to keep away from, but a little bit edgy.

Sagittarians are an optimistic Fire sign with a sense of wonder and adventure. You look at the world with rose-colored glasses on, and your personality is like that of a happy cup of hot chocolate with bright, bouncing little marshmallows on top. Your bubble nature warms the soul of your friends and family.

Capricorns are nothing if not traditional (at least in some sense,) and their personality shows it. You’re like the delicious and beloved Christmas pudding that is so popular in Britain. With the zesty citrus that represents Cap’s motivation and the cinnamon that defines the holidays, this treat goes perfectly with your lovable personality.

Aquarians are Air signs who get carried by the winds towards new adventure. Your sign loves to travel and see new places and experience new cultures. Your worldly personality resembles the Italian Christmas bread, panettone. With its delicious flavor and rich culture, this holiday treat seems just like your well-travelled demeanor.

Pisces are ruled by Water; your personality is compassionate, empathetic and thoughtful. In a word, sweet. You resemble the traditional, beloved sugar cookie that is nearly synonymous with the holidays. You know how to make your loved ones happy, and nothing is quite as joyous as biting down into a soft, buttery sugar cookie.

    Visions of Sugar Plums…

You deserve to take a moment for yourself and give yourself a treat. So, sit back with your favorite treat, relax, and have a happy holiday!

We are closing out the year with some gorgeous energy, earthlings, as a solar eclipse arrives under the New Moon in Capricorn on December 26.

The New Moon arrives December 26 and gives you peak eclipse energy until Saturday, December 28, but the energy is still available long after that. This is game-changing eclipse energy that you can make New Moon wishes on for things that will last right through January 2020 and the first month of the New Year.

It’s very difficult to make decisions, especially those involving new beginnings as a brand new year starts, without that information. So this is why eclipses can be a little dicey to work with, and why they are often feared.

But they shouldn’t be. They are opportunities for that tabula rasa, that clean slate of life we always look forward to after every wrinkle. And with a solar eclipse happening right before a new year begins, the Universe is saying, “here are some wishes on a silver platter for you, Earthlings.”

Today we are going to look at how to use healing crystals in solar eclipse healing rituals to help you manifest those very miracles.

Time to Splurge for Yourself: Healing Crystals for Every Zodiac Sign

New Moon & Solar Eclipse Themes to Remember for 2020

New Moons are about new beginnings, and eclipses are often about information. The information could be on something romantic or domestic, like feelings. Or it could be related to a practical matter in your life, like a big real estate move or a job change. New Moon eclipses are always solar eclipses, where the Moon passes between the Earth and the Sun on its orbit. So something is eclipsed from the information portal for the time being.

This is the physical sense of an eclipse when you consider using this physical meaning in an esoteric fashion. And that is what we are here for today, to show you how to dive into your toolbox of divination tools, including healing crystals, to use the last major Moon event of 2019 in an epic and game-changing way for 2020.

Solar eclipses are always accompanying New Moons, and it is the Sun that is eclipsed right now. New beginnings based in secrets are amok amok amok. The Sun represents your self, so you may have some secrets swirling around you connected to your sense of self.

So for example, if the New Moon solar eclipse falls in your home sector, your sense of self at home may experience some changes. Stay tuned to your Daily Horoscopes to keep tabs on where and when to amplify your sense of self.

In the esoteric world, we use eclipse energy to explore a new portal of our consciousness. It’s a beautiful time to dive deeper into your own personal journey. This awareness in and of itself can help you to experience game-changing things in your life, even if nobody else can see it. That could be what is eclipsed from the picture. You have a secret about yourself that nobody else knows. Intuitive exploration is favored and rewarded under this eclipse, but only if you are doing so with clear intent.

One of the easiest ways to explore this solar eclipse New Moon portal of potential is with healing crystals. We are going to talk about how to do solar eclipse rituals with healing crystals, and these are rituals you can use right through the first month of 2020, as you work on manifesting some beautiful new beginnings in your life. Shop the full set of healing crystals and begin this empowering and uplifting work today.

The themes you are focusing your intent on now are about your sense of self, who you are and how the world sees you, and the information you need to access to get yourself there. This intent, paired with these solar eclipse rituals, will help you to manifest some amazing New Moon wishes this week, and well into January 2020.

    Ritual Tools You Will Need:

A solar eclipse healing ritual with healing crystal is as long or as short as you want it to be. You can have a quick one during an inter-office meeting to get clarity on where your focus needs to be. Nobody ever needs to know about it. Make sure your tools are calibrated for use during these rituals that you can do anytime.

Sage. Sage is the universal cleanser of all negative energy. It always helps you reboot and reset your tools to an even and clear plate. Use sage on all of your healing crystals between uses. New Moons and solar eclipses are about new beginnings and what better way to manifest those than with a cleaning reboot with sage every now and then under the New Moon and solar eclipse.

Establish symbols. Decide what an ending and what a new beginning looks like. You may get messages, signs, or synchronicities under this New Moon or eclipse that you aren’t sure of. Ask your guides and angels to show you what a new beginning symbol is, and then look for that. Those are more present under a New Moon eclipse. When you use healing crystals in conjunction with this symbol work, a new world awakens. And this is exactly what New Moon eclipses are all about. It’s a new day. Decide with your angels what you should look for when that happens.

Choose your eclipse healing crystals. The most common ones for solar eclipse healing rituals are obsidian, agate, and Sun or Moonstone. We’ll get to the why’s on that in a minute. Be sure that you are stocked up. You may also want to consider a chakra pendulum to add to your toolkit for 2020 eclipse season. It has all of the healing crystals you will need to navigate the change-making energy of the 2020 eclipse season.

Let there be light. A candle is the purest way to bring light into the picture under a solar eclipse healing ritual. But even the light from the flashlight on your phone on your break at work helps too. Bring light into your solar eclipse ritual. Use the vibrations of your healing crystals with your powerful intentions clear the way to manifesting your New Moon solar eclipse wishes.

    Solar Eclipse Healing Rituals

Now that you have the tools you will need, you can start practicing your solar eclipse healing rituals with healing crystals right away. Keep your thoughts and intentions pure, and you will manifest more than you think. There’s a ritual for each of the three healing crystals mentioned above.

    1. Sunstone or Moonstone

You enjoy both Sun and Moon energy in a New Moon and solar eclipse, so sunstone or moonstone are excellent stones to use in healing rituals. Have your stones charged by the Sun the day before by just laying them in the Sun the day before. Then, use the light of the Moon the night before your ritual to continue the charge. This will bring a balance into your wishes.

Light a candle, write your wish down. Hold the Sunstone or Moonstone in one hand as you burn your wish on the candle with your other. Just hold the wish on its paper to the flame and let the Universe take the smoke from this wish to the Netherlands of a different dimension that grants your wishes.

    2. Agate

Green or black agate is another powerful to use in solar eclipse healing rituals. It is a stone that restores inner peace. If a wrinkle arises during this year’s last Moon event that is a solar eclipse event, use agate to help you bring it all back to center. This stone can be used to meditate on your Root chakra, red in color, to remind you of what really matters in life. It could be your people you come home to every night, or, something or someone else.

Eclipse energy can be emotionally intense. Keep your agate cleansed every day, recharge it as often as you do your phone but using the moonlight, and make wishes that help you feel balanced. Tucking agate into pockets and desk drawers around you, in areas of significance in your life, can help you to always stay rooted and grounded in what really matters in life.

    3. Obsidian

Obsidian is the next ideal tool to have for solar eclipse healing rituals because it is the naturalist of all-natural healing stones. If you are experiencing recent emotional wounds, Obsidian is the Universe’s way of putting a band-aid on it. It can repair and heal wounds in your spiritual aura and psychic phenomenon. But you can also just use it to feel emotionally better during this New Moon and solar eclipse.

Cleanse your obsidian with sage, light a candle, and use it to make wishes on new beginnings that stimulate who you are as a person. Your soul wants to sing right now, and obsidian is going to help you find the way to bring that voice out. When you do, magic happens.

    4. Rose Quartz

This is among the most commonly used healing crystals, and it serves the all-purpose function of spreading love. Rose quartz is also a crystal of healing, and can be used for those in need of wellness or the pink light that heals all wounds, emotional, spiritual, or physical. Rose quartz also activates the light of unconditional love. Use rose quartz during a solar eclipse ritual to heal, forgive, and find that spot of unconditional love. Hold it over your heart, and you will actually hear your Heart chakra sing. Now, make your New Moon wish! Your new beginning awaits.

    5. Carnelian

This is a traditional stone that connects you to your Root chakra, and is the color of the Root chakra. It offers a stabilizing rustic hue that can even be red. Carnelian gives you the grounding you need to stand and sit up tall, feeling grounded by your people and your work that sustains your needs on your path to abundance. Carnelian is a stone of courage, and it takes great courage to make big wishes under a New Moon eclipse.

    6. Clear Quartz

When there is a New Moon and solar eclipse, the veil between this side and the Other Side is very thin. This is why we often encourage you to use your psychic senses when making your New Moon eclipse rituals and wishes. But one problem you could have if you are not careful is the opening of the door to negative spirit, and it is out there.

Negative spirit does not like the celebration and joy of the holiday. Keep some cleansed clear quartz around your New Moon eclipse ritual, whether you are wearing it or just placing it near your bed, you are warding off all negative energy.

    7. Lapis Lazuli

This is another all-purpose stone that will provide a beautiful healing energy to any New Moon solar eclipse ritual. This is the stone that is intended to activate your Crown chakra, which is the one that contains your connection to the Divine. It is this simple white cord of light that you can draw on when your Crown chakra is activated, to access your guides and angels.

That is only one means of accessing them, prayer, meditation, and yoga work wonders. These are all things you can do and incorporate the healing crystal of lapis lazuli in order to strengthen your “hearing” and “seeing” when the Divine sends you messages. These messages will protect you and give you the clarity you need to word those New Moon solar eclipse wishes wisely.

    Final Thoughts…

If your first response is to freak out at the thought of a solar eclipse and a New Moon event, right before a new year, don’t. Look at it as a refreshing validation of the banquet of opportunities for new beginnings you have available to you.

Keep doing what you are doing with your divination tools, healing crystals, and all of the other tools in your toolkit such as your Daily Horoscopes. Take the New Moon solar eclipse one day and one healing crystal ritual at a time. What wishes are you hoping will manifest under this energy?

Get focused! Mercury is now in disciplined, practical Earth sign Capricorn, to stay until January 16. Mercury joins the Sun, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto in Capricorn, and this comes off of the solar eclipse in Capricorn, so we’re in a super Capricorn period!

FYI, you can keep track of the planets using the free astrology calendar!

What Does Mercury in Capricorn Mean?

Mercury is the planet of the mind, governing communication, ideas, and plans. In the natal chart, Mercury shows how you communicate and how your mind operates. In transit, Mercury brings mental focus, filling our thoughts and stimulating new ideas.

Capricorn rules productivity, hard work, and is in it for the long haul. Capricorn looks forward, seeing how the pieces fit together. This sign puts together long-term plans of action that are realistic and practical, and keeps going.

If You Were Born With Mercury in Capricorn…

    Mercury in Capricorn 2020

As a transit, Mercury in Capricorn helps all of us to think about and come up with ideas for (Mercury) long-term plans for our goals (Capricorn). We’re already pretty focused on our goals thanks to so many planets in Capricorn! So Mercury helps give us the mental energy and focus we need to put together practical plans to make these goals tangible.

Let’s go into what each zodiac sign may want to focus on with Mercury in Capricorn:

Capricorn is your career and life path sector, so you can focus on your professional goals, and what you ultimately want in your life. What have you aspired to accomplish or become? Be practical and get advice from those you respect if you need some help.

Work on long-term plans for expansion, new experiences, or exploration. You can think a little bigger, but in a realistic way, and have a more optimistic outlook. Embrace opportunity, and let yourself be a little bolder and more adventurous.

Transformations can be on your mind now, so this is a good time to work on long-term plans for transforming some part of your life or of yourself – or everything, top to bottom! If it hasn’t been working, then make changes to bring new life.

The people in your life can get more of your attention, so work on long-term plans that involve other people, or that impact your relationships. Improve the way you connect with others, strengthen commitment, and open up to new people.

Your long-term plans should be focused on your work and daily life. Are you doing work that you love? If not, your plans should involve changing that. Are you satisfied with your everyday life? If not, change that too!

You’re not a sign known for a heartfelt connection, so your long-term plans should focus on changing that. How can you improve your connection to your heart, bring more joy and love into your life, and share love with the people you care for?

Matters at home and with family can get your attention now, so this is a good time to work on long-term plans involving your home and family life. Want to move? Expand your family? Remodel your home? This may also be a great time for focusing on long-term plans with something from the ground up.

Your mind may be incredibly active during this time, so focus on long-term plans for all of the ideas you have. You have so many of them, you may forget them quickly if you don’t come up with long-term plans fast. Keep track since one of them could be a diamond!

Capricorn is your money sector, which may have been shaky over the last few years! But with this energy now, you can work on long-term plans to turn that around. Focus on improving stability and security, and what’s worth your time and effort.

It’s all about you! This is a big period for you, so think about the long-term plans that you’re most excited about and can get started with right away. You have the energy and drive for it now, and don’t want it to pass you by.

You may want to focus on your long-term plans on your own, and not let anyone interfere and stick their nose where it doesn’t belong. The long-term plans you put together can help set you up for the future, and you can work on eliminating baggage now.

This can be a great period to focus on long-term plans for your dreams. Think about the future you’d love to have, and let yourself think outside of the box a little bit. You’ll likely still be practical about it, but taking a new, fresh approach may be helpful.

Remember that Mercury is not the only one in Capricorn right now! So is the Sun (until January 20), Jupiter (until December 19), Saturn (on and off throughout 2020), and Pluto (for many more years to come). The Capricorn energy gets a burst at the moment with Mercury, the Sun, and the solar eclipse, but this is a long-term deal.

So, get those long-term plans together, pronto!

It’s Capricorn season again, which means it’s time to celebrate the tenacious sea-goats of the zodiac. Capricorns are strong, hard-working, and loyal to their loved ones – especially when their chakras are aligned. But no one can be their best self when their chakras are unbalanced or blocked, which is why this guide will tell you how to work specifically with your unique Capricorn energy to unblock and balance your beautiful chakras.

One of the beautiful things about astrology is that it’s applicable to so many different areas of our lives, like our chakras. Chakras are seven major energy points – or wheels of energy – within our body that contribute to our overall health. And when we combine the illuminating power of the zodiac with our chakra work, we can create a unique plan of healing that speaks to your individual spirit.

But before we dive into Capricorn-specific chakra work, let’s take a look at the personality traits that make the Capricorn so unique.

    Capricorn Personality Traits

Capricorns are a Fixed sign ruled by Earth, making them naturally grounded when their chakras are balanced. Their ruling planet is the sensible Saturn, which further contributes to their naturally responsible demeanor.

    Capricorn Positive Traits

    • Tenacious
    • Hard-working
    • Respectful
    • Traditional
    • Ambitious
    • Patient
    • Disciplined
    • Reliable
    • Loyal
    • Organized

    Capricorn Negative Traits

    • Cynical
    • Melancholy
    • Unforgiving
    • Emotionally cold
    • Overly cautious
    • Work-a-holic

    Capricorn Chakra Work

Every zodiac sign has both positive and negative traits but understanding how to use your specific astrological to work with your chakras can help you address and correct some of the negative traits inherent in your sign.

Capricorns are associated with the Root chakra, also known as the Mūlādhāra in Sanskrit.

This is the Capricorn’s power chakra, and it is essential that it remains balanced for the Cap to feel fully capable and confident.

This chakra is the first chakra, and it’s located at the base of the spine. The Root chakra deals with our sense of security and stability in the world, two concepts that are strongly associated with Capricorn’s ruling planet, Saturn. The Root chakra governs our sense of control over our environment and ourselves—feeling out-of-control is a good indication that the Root chakra is blocked or unbalanced.

When a Capricorn’s Root chakra is functioning properly, they feel confident, capable, and secure about their position in the world. A blocked Root chakra can contribute to a Capricorn’s need to work to the point of exhaustion or close themselves off from their loved ones.

For a Capricorn, keeping the Root chakra aligned is a must. Cap’s sense of responsibility and motivation rely on the security that a balanced Root chakra provides.

How to Balance Your Root Chakra

There are many ways to keep your Root chakra balanced and open, and many of them naturally involve Capricorn energy.

    Chakra Healing Crystals

For instance, working with Capricorn-associated crystals is an excellent way to heal your Root chakra.

    • Black tourmaline is a grounding crystal that will bring you back down to Earth when necessary.
    • Fluorite cleanses the aura and heals negative energy and emotions.
    • Jet provides an earthy sense of protection that helps Capricorn energy grow from a strong foundation.
    • Garnet promotes love for yourself and others and is closely linked to Cap energy.
    • Onyx, tiger’s eye, and obsidian are all excellent stones that further draw out positive Capricorn traits while reducing any negativity that may be blocking the Root chakra.

    Connecting with Mother Nature

As an Earth sign, it’s imperative that Capricorns foster their relationship with Mother Nature; and fortunately, this is another excellent way to balance your power chakra. Hike your favorite trail, spend an hour in the park with a good book, pack an outdoor picnic, or simply take a walk around the block to instantly feel your energy come alive. You have to encourage your sign’s ruling element in order to feel like yourself – and in this case, that means spending time in the presence of Earth, in all her glory.

    Chakra Chow-Down

Another great way to balance the Root chakra is to incorporate foods with the right energy into your diet.

Root vegetables are the go-to food items that most efficiently balance the Root chakra: carrots, parsnips, turnips, beets, celery, ginger, rutabagas, horseradish, turmeric, jicama, and daikon are all considered to be root vegetables and work well to balance this chakra.

Foods high in protein, such as eggs, tofu, beans, and meat, are also good for your power chakra.

    Chakra Exercises

Meditation and yoga are two amazing exercises that do so much more than balance the chakras. Adding these activities to your daily schedule will reduce stress, increase mental clarity and calmness, and even make you stronger.

These activities also work to heal all seven chakras.

    Embracing Your Capricorn Nature

When your power chakra, the Root chakra, is balanced and open you can truly appreciate everything that makes you unique. When you feel secure and stable, you’re able to create your own path towards success, expressing gratitude for the natural tenacity and persistence that seems synonymous with the headstrong goat of the zodiac.

Keep your Root chakra balanced to let everything wonderful about your Capricorn-self shine through!

As we approach the New Year, we’re probably collectively thinking about the resolutions we plan to make for 2020. After all, a new year is a new start, a clean slate.

This is the time to make new plans and goals for yourself – and thankfully, astrology can help.

The Best New Year’s Resolution for Your Zodiac Sign

If you know you want to make a change, but you aren’t sure where to start, this guide will help you get a better idea of the best resolution for your sign in 2020.

Aries are ruled by Fire, always on-the-go. This year, challenge yourself to learn to slow down, or at least find a more relaxing outlet. You’re always trying to find new ways to move closer to your goals. And while all that fire is certainly useful to keep your passions burning, if you don’t tend to it, you’ll burn out. Learn to take some time to sit still.

Your New Year’s challenge, Taurus, is to become a bit more flexible. As an Earth sign, you’re very grounded—which can also read as stuck in your ways. And honestly, sometimes you can be. But this is a new year, a time to let yourself bend and snap with the tides of life. Learn to go with the flow every once in a while, you may find that you like the change of pace.

Geminis are ruled by Air, making them intellectual and thoughtful. You love to learn new things, but you don’t always feel confident enough to display your knowledge to the world. You need to resolve to put yourself out there more, trusting that everyone around you loves you for who you are, and will accept you however you choose to express yourself.

Cancers are a Water sign that is ruled by the Moon. Cancers will do just about anything for those they love, but they often forget to care for themselves. Your 2020 resolution is to practice more self-care, learning to spoil yourself when you need it – and even sometimes when you don’t. You won’t have the energy to be there for your friends if you don’t learn how to put yourself first.

Ruled by Fire and the Sun, Leos are optimistic and passionate about life. You love to be in the spotlight, but you may not spend quite enough time fostering your sense of self-worth without weighing against the opinions of others. You have to learn to love yourself no matter what anyone else thinks, Leo. This year resolve to forget about what other people think and do exactly what you want to do.

Earthy and responsible, Virgos tend to project their attention-to-detail onto others. While you might like for everyone to be just as analytical and detail-oriented as you are, that’s just not the way things are. Try to let others off the hook this year. Don’t worry about the pace that your peers are working at; as long as you’re moving towards your own goals, you’ll be fine.

Libras are an Air sign ruled by Venus, the planet of socialization. Libras spend a lot of time trying to make sure that their loved ones are comfortable, often forgetting to tend to their own needs. Try to force yourself to let others clean up their own messes this year, focusing instead on the tenderness and care that you should be extending to yourself.

As a Water sign, Scorpios can get weighed down in the waters of mystery that inhabit life. You tend to focus so much on the meaning of everything that you can forget to live in the moment. Your goal this year should be to focus on what you want to achieve more than what you feel is dragging you down. Concentrate on your desires, not your downfalls.

Sagittarians are ruled by Fire, and their passion for life is an excellent example of that fire. You love to have a good time, but sometimes that good time comes at the price of overindulging the things in life that can end up bringing you down. This year try to focus on building healthier habits and placing more importance on goals than a good time.

The Earth that rules over Capricorn makes them grounded and responsible, but they often focus too hard on paying their dues than paving their own way. You can branch out and actually create your own business if you want to, Capricorn. What’s stopping you? This year challenge yourself to take more risks and invest more in your worth.

As an Air sign, Aquarians are imaginative and innovative. You might have a million brilliant ideas in a day – and your challenge this year is to begin bringing those ideas to life. Don’t just think about ways to change the world, start implementing your genius inventions to actually make a difference. Your heart and mind are in the right place, you just have to believe in yourself.

The twin fish, Pisces, are ruled by Water and swim in the depths of their imagination. Your dreamy personality can take things a little too seriously, however. This year try not to take things so personally and let that fierce part of your nature unleash itself. You are strong and capable, Pisces – you don’t need the approval of others to achieve your goals.

Happy New Year to every zodiac sign!

As we reach the end of 2019 and edge nearer to 2020, we find ourselves experiencing far more than just the end of a year, but also a new chapter in the beginning of our lives. The New Year is associated with new beginnings (out with the old and in with the new!) and it is very close to the Winter Solstice, which also has powerful themes of starting afresh and the dawning of a new era.

We make New Year’s resolutions for a reason. Apart from the celebrations and partying, New Year’s Eve provides us with the opportunity to look back on the year that has gone by and ask ourselves how we wish to seek improvement in the following year. What do we want to get rid of? What do we wish to improve? What or who do we want to attract in our lives? How can we use the experiences or even mistakes of the previous year to help make the coming year more prosperous and beneficial?

By all accounts, astrology and Tarot are tools we can explore further to help us make our New Year’s Resolutions for 2020. In Chinese Astrology, the significance of the coming year is quite special. 2020 will be the Year of the Rat, which marks the beginning of a new 12-year cycle. This enhances the need for freshness, newness and powerful new beginnings even more!

Sometimes, we might struggle to know what type of resolutions can help us in the coming year. This is where checking out your daily Tarot online comes in handy. It’s also where a personalized reading comes in handy too. So, what type of Tarot reading can we do to help you make your New Year’s Resolutions for 2020?

First, let’s look at the themes of 2020. This is a year that has strong focused and determined energy running through it. It’s a year to get cracking on a project or mending a relationship (and this includes relationships with oneself.) It’s a year where a great deal can be accomplished if we can get our heads down and not allow distractions or procrastination to get in the way. Below is a Tarot card reading that you can try for the New Year:

Set Your New Year’s Resolution with Tarot:

Question: What New Year’s Resolution should I make for 2020?

    • Card 1: What I need to focus on
    • Card 2: What needs improving
    • Card 3: What I should let go of?
    • Card 4: What I should embrace?

Below is an example reading along with the various Tarot card readings for you to base your reading on.

    Card 1: The Emperor

This is a card that can be interpreted in several different ways, but the core of the Emperor remains the same. It is a card of strength, discipline and becoming the “master of my own empire”. This could relate to finding my own inner strength and working on myself; or it could relate to my work or business and making a success of it. Or becoming more assertive (this especially rings true for anyone who feels like a doormat in relationships!) Whatever it is, the Emperor highlights the need to focus on self-control and mastering oneself and environment.

    Card 2: Death

A seemingly ominous card, but actually, the Death card bodes very well for this New Year’s Resolutions spread. It represents what needs improving and as the Death card is very much about change, it could be highlighting that I am resistant to change and must learn to with the flow. Because the Death card is part of the Major Arcana, this indicates that the change will be sweeping – something out of my control. Rather than trying to resist what it inevitable, the reading suggests it is in my interest to learn to ride the waves and surrender to the change that comes. To surrender is not to give up; in fact, it can be one of the most powerful forms of strength.

    Card 3: 2 of Cups

I would interpret the 2 of Cups as a relationship or friendship with someone in the context of what to let go of. This is a card of bonds and emotions; a relationship may not be working in its current state and it may be time to let go. This correlates with the Death card, which advises going with the winds of change. If one of these changes relates to a relationship, it may be suggesting that letting go is my best option.

Letting go does not necessarily mean a relationship is over. Going back to the Death card, it does not always mean the “death” or “end” of something entirely. Death is linked to the zodiac sign, Scorpio, and Scorpio is all about transformation and rebirth. It could mean that this stage of the relationship has come to an end, but will transform into something more positive for everyone involved.

    Card 4: 9 of Pentacles

The 9 of Pentacles is a card of success, satisfaction and fulfilment, particularly on a physical level. As the card for what I should embrace, this could be representing embracing my positive qualities, an “inner goddess” and working on my self-confidence and self-esteem. The 9 of Pentacles is a strong card for self-confidence. Bearing the other cards in mind, this indicates that now is the time to let my light shine – on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level, now is the time to become the best of myself.

As exciting as it can be to count down to not only a new year, but a new decade, the start of the new year brings forth transformative energy that can be challenging to get into sync with.

While Tarot can, of course, be a tool in assisting you in more specific situations, problems, and circumstances in your day-to-day life, mindfully using a deck of cards can allow you to create dramatic changes in your life on a much grander scale. At the start of a new year – and in the case of the year 2020, a new decade – there’s no better time than now to give it a try.

Below are a couple of simple but effective ways that Tarot can be a transformative tool in your new year!

    1. Tarot helps you identify & dispose of the clutter you don’t need anymore.

The start of a new year can and definitely should be feeling like a clean slate. As the energy of the world around you turns a new leaf and begins a blank canvas, it’s important that you synchronize with those changes and match that energy. Where to begin, you ask? Don’t fret – it’s not as complicated as you think!

A simple Tarot card or two can help you see what no longer is serving you in your life, and what can be done to let it go in the smoothest manner. Try pulling one or two cards to see what might need to be removed, and another for your ideal course of action in cleaning up!

    2. Tarot can help you set New Year’s resolutions worth keeping.

Part of the reason why resolutions can be difficult to keep is that sometimes, even though you want to make changes and shifts in your life, it’s often tricky to know where to place that focus. Oftentimes, our resolutions can be misdirected, misleading, or too muddled for us to manifest them properly. When we don’t know what we want exactly, or begin second-guessing our true desires, setting a New Year’s resolution can feel like a daunting task in of itself.

Tarot lifts the cloudy haze of confusion and shows us where our focus really should be, as well as eliminates areas that don’t need our attention. For example, try asking the tarot not just what your focus for the new year should be, but also what it shouldn’t be! In this way, even a simple two-card spread can set you off on the right track.

    3. Tarot can hold you accountable for keeping your resolutions!

Let’s be honest with ourselves – a good portion of the reason why New Year’s resolutions are difficult to maintain is simply our lack of motivation or dedication to keep a habit. Perhaps we’ve set too many resolutions, set a resolution without a plan, or simply don’t know where to begin.

A simple, low-effort, and effective practice in keeping your resolutions of choice is to ask your Tarot deck at least once a week for a message of affirmation and a message illuminating what action to take next. You’ll be able to see what your next steps are, but you can also get a little dose of love and affirmation at the same time!

For those looking for a little more tough love, you can also pull an additional card asking to see an area that needs work or improvement.

    Concluding Thoughts…

It doesn’t always take large 10-card spreads to carry you through the year. Much like with any other habit, like meditation, journaling, or even chakra balancing exercises, using Tarot in moderation but still in more frequent amounts will provide the healthy dose of affirmation and guidance you need to rise to the heights you’re hoping to achieve in 2020.

As always, though, your Tarot journey is your own, individual path, and it’s important that you choose the practices and spreads that feel right for you.

The start of the new year can already feel like a daunting event – there’s so much to do, so much to plan, and so much to accomplish. Instead of Tarot being one extra task on your large list of duties, let the practice of card reading flow into your schedule in a natural, simple way by keeping up with it every so often in smaller ways as the new year kicks off. Whether this is through shuffling your own deck or checking out your free daily Tarot reading, pick up your daily or weekly dose of Tarot and watch your new year transform into the one you’ve been dreaming of!

Have you ever wondered if the numbers you’re seeing in your everyday life are trying to tell you something? Do you see certain numbers or numerical patterns repeating? Maybe in your date of birth and your phone number, or your address, or perhaps even an employee number at work. The idea that numbers can speak to you isn’t as far-fetched as you might think. It’s an ancient study called numerology — and like astrology or the tarot, it can be very enlightening.

Numerology is the study of numbers and how they relate to you through your astrological #. Just as every colour vibrates on a different frequency, every number does too — and just as you’re naturally attracted to some colours more than others, different numbers resonate with you more than other ones. You have many numbers that will come and go in your life, depending on what’s happening at the time, but some numbers will stay with you throughout your entire life. The main one is called your life path number, and it is calculated using your date of birth.

    Calculate Your Life Path Number

Your life path number is the most important number in your numerology reading. In most cases, it will be a single numeral from 1 to 9, although there are also some master numbers that are not single. The only two exceptions to the single digit rule are the numbers 11 and 22. These numbers have a special resonance, and because of that, they are not reduced to a single numeral. To find your life path number, use our Life Path Number Calculator.

How to Find Your Life Path Number

To calculate your life path number yourself, add the day, then the month, then the year of your birth. For example, if you were born on 17 November 1971,

    1. Add the numbers in your birth date — the 17th — together [1 + 7 = 8]
    2. Then add the month. November is the 11th month, so you’d need to add 1 + 1 to get 2
    3. Finally, add all the numbers in the year together; 1 + 9 + 7 + 1 adds up to 18, which can then be added together ( 1 + 8) to get 9

    Now, add those single-digit numbers together: 8 + 2 + 9 = 19. That can then be reduced twice; 1 + 9 = 10, and then 1 + 0 = 1. In this instance, the life path number would be 1.

Try it! Take your birthday and then reduce it to a single number, starting with the day, then the month, then the year, then add that together, reducing the numbers as shown until you get to a single digit (unless you get 11 or 22).

Great! So you now know how to find your life path number. Your astrological number is one-way numbers can speak to you, but what does it mean?

    Reading Your Life Path Number

    • Life Path Number 1

Life Path Number 1 is determined, independent, and original, but you need to learn some patience. It doesn’t always have to be all about you! Once you master that, you’ll find your natural leadership abilities will start to shine.

    • Life Path Number 2

If 2 is your Life Path Number, then you’re very diplomatic, very sensitive, and you need harmony in your life. Sometimes it can be hard to motivate you because you do enjoy taking the easy road. However, when it’s something that speaks strongly to you, you can be determined to the point of stubbornness!

    • Life Path Number 3

You’re the proverbial social butterfly! You like people, you are curious and inquisitive and enjoy a good conversation, even a good debate! Just make sure that your wide and varied interests don’t give you an air of superficiality.

    • Life Path Number 4

Helpful, caring, traditional, and sympathetic all describe you if you’re a Life Path Number 4. You just have to watch your sensitivity, though, for your caring can easily turn to clinging if you allow it. It’s nothing that a bit of attention and perseverance can’t bring back into balance.

    • Life Path Number 5

You’re social and curious and enjoy your life. There’s a lot of creativity about you, and you could be luckier than other Life Path numbers. Just keep your ego in check, though, because it could easily run away with you.

    • Life Path Number 6

Life Path Number 6 is the path of focus, responsibility, and attention to detail. You’re very dedicated to the things and people you believe in but watch your criticism. Your analytic nature tends to make you a bit judgemental. You don’t always have to be right.

    • Life Path Number 7

Some say this is a lucky astrological number, and indeed for you, it may be! You’re balanced, you seek harmony and beauty, you’re contemplative and intuitive. It doesn’t matter whether you’re introverted or extroverted; you can be the center of attention or you can enjoy your own company equally.

    • Life Path Number 8

You’re ambitious and influential and love investigating what makes things — and people — tick. It’s easy for you to take control, and you could find that this can lead to you taking control of your financial karma in a very positive way. Just remember not to get too bossy; it could be detrimental to your success.

    • Life Path Number 9

This is the Life Path Number of the idealist. You’re humanitarian and you want the best for everyone. It’s easy for you to express yourself, but you may find that you have trouble with commitments and attachments.

    • Life Path Number 11

One of the Master Numbers, if 11 is your Life Path Number, then you’ve got a specific purpose here on Earth. You’re intuitive, and a born leader, but you have very high expectations of yourself and others. This can lead you to frustration and withdrawal. Don’t let it.

    • Life Path Number 22

This is the second of the Master Numbers, and if this is yours, then you were born with the potential to shine and be incredibly successful. Resourceful and with the aptitude for power and fame, you may have to work hard to transcend ego and see the bigger picture, so that you can be who you were truly born to become.

Understanding your astrological number and how it describes your personality can also be helpful when looking for other human connections. Knowing how to find your life path number can help you understand what is known as your life path friendship compatibility to help when you are choosing individuals to make bonds with.

    Is Your Name Important?

Numerologists can not only calculate your life path number, but they can find out a lot about you from your name. They will look at your full name at birth, the name you use now (if you changed it when you got married, for example), any nicknames you use, and more. Numerologists will also do readings for you using only the vowels or only the consonants in your name to find out aspects of your personality. These interpretations work with your Life Path Number to help you understand more about who you are, and what you are meant to do with your life.

If you changed your name at some point in your life — by marriage, or deed poll, or if you use a variation on your name (Bob instead of Robert, for example, or Andy instead of Andrew or Andrea) — then this will also influence how you resonate with your Life Path Number. A good numerologist will do several readings for you, looking at each of these outcomes individually, then put them all together to help you understand what makes you who you are. The study of numerology is one of those practices which is easy to learn, but can take a lifetime to really understand!

Let the Numbers Speak to You

Like any of the other esoteric arts, numerology has its place when it comes to understanding your role in the story of your life. Numbers can speak to you in other ways, too — for example, when you see numeric sequences appearing on digital clocks, license plates, and so on. Pay attention to those numbers. After all, everything in the universe can be broken down to a mathematical equation; why then can’t the universe use those numbers to communicate with you on a one to one level? Food for thought, indeed!
