Month: September 2021

If you’ve been looking for a powerhouse week of manifestation and passion, then buckle your seatbelts and get ready for a wild ride! This week brings two major transits that give you a chance to start anew, attract your desires, and spark that fire within yourself.

We start on September 6th with a New Moon in grounded Virgo – an Earth sign with a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic. While the New Moon is a transit that typically signals strong emotional reactions, Virgo helps you remain calm and think practically about these strong feelings, allowing you to sort through them.

The New Moon is also the best time of the month for manifestation, and because Virgo is such a hardworking sign, you may feel drawn towards ideas regarding your dream job or the future position you most desire.

Later in the week, on September 10th, Venus – the planet of beauty and love – moves from balanced Libra into intense, passionate Scorpio. Scorpio is a Water sign known for depth of emotion, attraction to mystery, and sensual nature.

Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, the planet concerned with power, transformation, rebirth, and the psyche. This is a sign that looks far beneath the surface of any situation or relationship, always seeking the truth.

When Venus moves through Scorpio, you can expect deeper conversations, more intense romantic encounters, and a near-universal disdain for surface interactions. We all want to deepen our bonds and uncover the truth during this transit, meaning that this is no time for pleasantries and playing games – be prepared to go deeper.

September 6 – September 12 is a Week to Manifest & Open Up

The New Moon in Virgo is the perfect time for manifestation work and a New Moon ritual.

And then, when Venus moves into Scorpio, it’s time to open up because this transit seeks deep, passionate conversations and relationships. And the best way to reach that depth is to let yourself be vulnerable – to let yourself be seen.

This week, think about what sparks your passion, what lights you up inside. This is no time to focus on what you don’t want but rather the moment to remember your bliss. What brings you joy? Seek it out in your manifestations as well as your relationships.

If you’re feeling closed off, a personalized astrological reading can help you learn to be vulnerable with those you trust.

With a charismatic presence and diplomatic approach, what’s not to love about bubbly and smart Libra?

Here’s a fun fact: even if you don’t find yourself loving Libra energy, you still have it somewhere within you.

And with Libra season kicking off from September 22nd to October 23rd, you’ll want to make sure you know where that is. The energy of where it falls in your natal chart may get amplified.

Ready to learn more? We’re going to be exploring what Libra energy in your chart may mean and what it looks like on a personal level.

About the Libra Zodiac Sign

Known for their charm and a bit of indecisiveness (or a lot), Libra is not immune to garnering a reputation like other zodiac signs.

Of course, a reputation is not necessarily the ironclad truth. So what is the truth?

Well, Libra is Venus-ruled (ruled by the planet of love and beauty), so you can attribute plenty of the beauty and charm there. Plus, being an Air sign grants them a certain flair for communication, specifically, being able to direct a conversation with ease and finesse.

However, their love for diplomacy and keeping things 100% harmonic can certainly lead to some amount of indecision. Wanting to keep the peace and see all sides (or the beauty in every perspective) may prevent them from choosing one path and sticking with it.

The Impact Of Libra Season

Like other zodiac seasons, the impact of Libra season will last for a period of one month (September 22nd to October 23rd).

You can expect to see the desire for open discussion, a diplomatic approach, and perhaps a bit of romance and charm to be highlighted during this time.

Astrology is not as clean-cut as this, however! Ultimately, Libra’s energy and how it affects you may look a bit different than someone else’s, depending on where Libra lands in your chart.

Where is Libra in Your Birth Chart?

So first, check to see where Libra lands in the planets of your birth chart. These can have a major impact on core pieces of your personality and who you are as a person!

Remember, your personality is more than just your Sun sign. Read about the impact of your Moon sign and Rising sign: Why Don’t I Relate to My Sun Sign?

Sun, Moon, & Rising In Libra

Any of these placements in your chart can lead to a prominent Libra presence about you.

The Sun, representing the ego and a core piece of the self, would reflect Libra’s energy in various ways, but especially in what you wish to put forth into the world. The Moon, governing emotion and your inner world, allows you to connect with Libra in the emotional space.

And finally, with a Libra Rising, the traits are projected outwards, making it a noticeable part of who you are to others around you (and what a lucky placement it is to have a Venus-ruled rising projected outwards!).

Mercury In Libra

If you have a Libra Mercury, your Libra energy comes through most in how you communicate and share information.

This is particularly sweet, as a Libra Mercury comes with a plethora of charm and charisma to boot. However, you’ll likely have to watch the tendency just to tell people what they want to hear, as this placement does know how to please a crowd… sometimes to a fault.

Venus In Libra

Venus in Libra is a particularly blessed placement, known to be in what’s called an “essential dignity.”

In other words, Libra is right at home here, being ruled by the planet of love and beauty itself. With the benefit of being Airy and communicative, Libra Venus expresses the depths of their love with clarity and prowess.

At their best, this placement knows how to create, appreciate, and fortify harmony within their existing relationships, as well as effortlessly create new ones.

Mars In Libra

With Mars in Libra, the energy of the balancing scales is prominent with your drive and ambition.

As the planet of will and passion, Mars shows us how we pursue things. However, Libra is in detriment here, not necessarily being the first or quickest to act, but rather the first to sit back and think, ponder, and try to create balance.

Here, Libra’s indecision may be more easily highlighted. However, at its best, this placement will teach you to balance the desire for harmony and still decisively go after what you want.

Jupiter In Libra

Jupiter is the planet of opportunity, luck, and expansion, which means understanding this placement can sometimes be the key to your success.

Jupiter in Libra is at its best when striving for equality, fairness, and justice. Charismatic and blessed with the gift of charm like other Libra placements, this particular placement may feel prone to winding up in the midst of conflict more often than others.

After all, it’s through Libra’s qualities that you find expansion, and, in the midst of conflict, your opportunity to create peace arises.

Saturn In Libra

Planet of restrictions and karma, wherever Saturn lands in your chart, can feel a bit ominous or heavy.

However, Saturn in Libra is an exalted placement, as Libra itself is already often aware of conflicts and restrictions to a certain extent. In fact, being able to identify the problems in communication or weak spots in a team can be the key to creating harmony.

It won’t always be an easy road, but this placement may have the gift necessary in order to really create the peace Libra so desires.

Uranus In Libra

If you were born in the late ’60s to mid-’70s, you might find this placement in your chart.

The Uranus in Libra generation has faced the peculiar task of meshing tact and grace with innovation and change. Uranus is a planet that ultimately wants to grow, but Libra is determined to keep the peace.

Ultimately, this generation has made waves, particularly with regards to how we view love and relationships, born during a time of sexual revolution and divorce becoming more commonplace and accepted.

Neptune In Libra

Some of those born in what we call the “Baby Boomer” era will find Neptune in Libra in their chart.

Dreamy and desiring connectedness, this generation was eventually a part of the hippies of the ’60s, bringing the spirit of Libra love and beauty to a worldly pursuit and desire.

Pluto In Libra

The Pluto in Libra generation takes up most of the ’70s to the mid-’80s.

Many born with this placement have parents of the Neptune in Libra generation, familiar already with the strange, perhaps radical ways their parents approached love, relationships, and romance.

This generation has taken note, and as Pluto is a planet of change and transformation, no doubt they equally plan to continue doing it differently.

Chiron In Libra

Chiron shows us where we hold some of the deepest wounds.

With Chiron in Libra, you may find that your kindness, openness to love, and desire for harmony are actually soft spots. Maybe it has been weaponized against you in the past, or maybe your diplomatic approach has been drowned out by louder voices.

Either way, nurturing this placement is the key to healing — so you’ll want to tend to that soft spot.

Where is Libra in Your Astrological House?

Even if you have no planets in Libra, you can still see where the energy of Libra lands in your chart through your houses.

One of your natal houses should fall in Libra (depending on the house system, some may have more than one; and some may have none).

Libra In The 1st House

If your 1st house is in Libra, the qualities of this unpredictable and outgoing sign are projected outwards.

Even if you don’t feel like a Libra internally, you’ll perhaps find that others still perceive you as charismatic and charming as ever. You have an air of grace and eloquence about you that can hardly go unnoticed.

Libra In The 2nd House

If your 2nd house is in Libra, you may find that money finds your way to you through your smooth-talking capabilities.

Perhaps it’s your eloquent manner of asking for a raise, or you’re just capable of charming your way to the very top — either way, your presence manages to be an asset here in a tangible way.

Libra In The 3rd House

If your 3rd house is in Libra, you’ll find its qualities highlighted in how you communicate with others.

The 3rd house is the house of communication amongst some other things (like siblings), which makes this a particularly persuasive placement. With the beauty of Venus and the communicative grace of an Air sign, Libra can talk up a beautiful storm in this house.

Libra In The 4th House

If your 4th house is in Libra, your foundations and sense of home will be structured around Libra qualities.

People with this placement tend to be particular about how the home looks and feels — you want it to be a welcoming, safe environment for any guest. The physical aspect of beautiful Venus also comes to light here, as Libra in 4th can make one desire a comfortable home.

Libra In The 5th House

If your 5th house is in Libra, the qualities of Libra can come out in love and with your hobbies.

Your desire to fortify love and understanding is extremely heightened here. While there is certainly a personal flair for creative, communicative capabilities in this house, the gift of Libra in 5th is also being able to see and orchestrate that in others.

Libra In The 6th House

If your 6th house is in Libra, the people-pleasing qualities of Libra may really come out to shine.

The 6th house is a house of service and healing, making your diplomatic and peaceful approach sometimes just the thing that people need to heal. Words can be a powerful healer from time to time, and this placement makes that abundantly obvious!

Libra In the 7th House

If your 7th house is in Libra, you’ll find the typical qualities of Libra particularly potent for you — as this is the house Libra rules over!

As the house of partnership, Libra in 7th highlights the desire to connect and maintain harmony on an interpersonal level. You care deeply about your connections with others and likely prioritize the relationships in your inner circle with a passion.

Libra In The 8th House

With the 8th house in Libra, your charisma turns magnetic and enigmatic.

The 8th house rules over some of the more hidden or darker things in life, like death, inheritances, and the occult. With Libra in 8th, you may find that your charm grants you blessings in mysterious ways.

However, you do have to be careful that the melding of spiritual blessings and the Libra desire for beauty don’t turn superficial.

Libra In The 9th House

If your 9th house is in Libra, you’ll find its qualities highlighted in travel and philosophy.

This placement makes you a particularly blessed traveler, likely capable of making friends and learning plenty while abroad from others. Equally, you may even find different cultures and philosophies readily shared with you by others, even when you’re on home turf.

Libra In The 10th House

If your 10th house is in Libra, the qualities of the scales take over in your career.

You are perhaps seen as the glue to many operations, leading where necessary but maintaining peace when conflict arises in team settings. Your ability to relay information in a clear, digestible way is an asset to many working environments.

Ultimately, you can thrive in careers that demand the spotlight or diplomatic approaches, like teaching, politics, or social work, for example.

Libra In The 11th House

With the 11th house in Libra, the interpersonal finesse of Libra is taken to a worldly scale.

Innovative and ambitious, this house rules over groups and how we approach worldly causes. You may find yourself drawn to even bigger causes, people, and situations that can contribute to larger-scale visions of peace and understanding.

Libra In The 12th House

The dreamy 12th house meeting peacekeeping Libra is a sweet match indeed.

The house of illusions grants Libra a keen intuition surrounding their interpersonal connections and communications with others. Liars? They won’t fly under the radar when it comes to this placement.

Despite the desire to keep the peace, you may fear getting too close to others with this placement, seeing some of the illusory nature of commitment surface too often. Still, there’s much to be learned with Libra in this house if the right connections form.

Loving the Libra Within

Maybe you’re super comfortable with Libra energy sitting within your chart, or maybe the discovery of the scales within you was a shattering realization.

Thankfully, you have a whole zodiac season to explore that energy either way. Whether you find the assets of Libra particularly useful, or you’re struggling to make sense of some of its energy, having a Libra season with that awareness can be more fruitful.

If you’re a Libra, follow your daily horoscope, and for everyone, make use of the astrology calendar to keep track of when Libra season starts and ends and where other transits may be impacting this special season.

Pulling Tarot cards each day can be a beautiful gift to the self, a quiet few moments to reflect and consider.

For beginners, a card-a-day practice is often recommended as a way to get to know the deck without feeling overwhelmed — but even as a professional Tarot reader and writer, I still pull a Tarot card each morning, taking some time to think about what my day might hold and how I can best approach any challenges or obstacles that may emerge. Sometimes the simplest methods can be the most effective, and I am a strong proponent for short readings rather than pulling dozens of cards at a time.

But while a single-card reading can be great for a quick moment of reflection, if you’re looking for something with a bit more depth, a three-card reading can provide nuance, offering more detailed perspectives or identifying patterns that we can spend time examining.

Looking for your own three-card reading but don’t have a Tarot deck? Get your online Astrology Answers free three-card Tarot reading.

The Benefits of Daily Tarot Reading

When it comes to creating and maintaining a Tarot habit, most people prefer to either read at the start or the end of their days.

Morning readings are wonderful for preparing for the day ahead, thinking about tasks and responsibilities, and getting emotionally organized, while evening readings are best for reflection, understanding, and relaxation.

Both can be incredibly useful, particularly if you record your Tarot readings through Instagram, journaling, or another method of tracking your card pulls. By doing this, you can begin to identify patterns of cards that come forward and see your readings’ general themes, which can be a powerful way to deepen your practice and develop a more personal relationship with your deck.

How to do a Three-Card Tarot Reading Daily

If you’re eager to make a three-card reading part of your daily routine but aren’t sure which to choose, think about what you appreciate the most about your regular readings and what kind of tarot reader you are.

Are you someone who wants your readings to prepare you for something on the horizon, frequently turns to the cards for advice, and uses readings to help lay the groundwork for future plans and challenges? Then a morning reading might be particularly motivating or helpful for you in planning out your day.

Or do you more frequently grab your cards when you’re eager to reflect on something, dig into your own emotions or fears around an event that has already happened, further understand a decision or reaction or occurrence? An evening reading may serve you best in this case.

Of course, many of us use the cards for both kinds of readings, and that’s absolutely fine — even encouraged! But if you lean to one side or the other, try reading at that time of day first, with some consistency. Commit to reading every morning or evening for a week and take notes for yourself. Pay attention to how it feels, then try the other option and compare the experiences.

In all likelihood, you will find that one suits your needs much better, and you may end up surprising yourself with your preference.

What Kind of Spread Should You Use for AM & PM?

There are many different kinds of Tarot spreads that you can use for morning and evening readings, but I find the best ones to be simple and straightforward. I’ve put together two different spreads for different times of day, which leaves plenty of room for individual expression and personal preferences.

And if you find yourself fixating on a particular event or occurrence in your day ahead, or if you end the day craving a more detailed reflection on something that happened, you can always tweak these spreads to address something with more specificity.

To help show you how to use these spreads and demonstrate how each spread can offer different insights on preparing for or processing a particular day, I’ve pulled three cards and will read them twice, first with the AM spread and then again with the PM spread.

As always, this is a sample reading and has not been pulled with any particular person or situation in mind.

A Tarot Spread for the Day Ahead of You

Card One: Overall Theme of the Day

8 of Swords

This is typically a card that indicates that we are blind to something, that we are so focused on our narrow version of truth or interpretation of information that we cannot see any other way forward.

The 8 of Swords is a card of feeling trapped, but of actually having far more options than we realize — and as a card for the theme of a new day, indicates that we need to be thoughtful about listening to multiple perspectives, and perhaps seek someone else out to help us find our way through a challenge or obstacle.

Clarity is essential today, so rather than giving up before we even try to get out of a sticky situation, we need to open our eyes and actually pay attention to what is happening, rather than indulging every last fear and concern.

How can we prioritize truth today?

Card Two: Something to Pay Attention to

Knight of Swords

Tying into the messages of the first card, the Knight of Swords is a figure of decisive action and captivating ideas. Insightful, conclusive, and eager to get things done, this knight is bold and opinionated, charging forward with that blade held aloft. And while this is someone intelligent and focused, someone unafraid to fight for what they believe is true, knights always challenge us to consider how we are using their element.

  • What information are we acting on?
  • How many perspectives have we listened to?
  • Are we open to new ideas, new opinions, or are we so sure that we’re right that we ignore any dissenting voices?

As something to pay attention to, this card urges us not to get so wrapped up in our own view that we overlook critical information. Where are we tempted to move too quickly?

Card Three: Advice to Remember

2 of Wands

The final card in our spread, the 2 of Wands, is usually tied to planning, organization, and long-term consideration for a creative effort.

After we have a wave of inspiration, it’s essential to take a moment and think about how we want to actually achieve it, checking in with the self and acknowledging how much effort it will take. Is this something that we really want to pursue? As a card of daily advice, this pip reminds us that we can decide where to put our energy, our brilliance, our magic.

What do we really crave? What is our vision for the future?

As a morning reading, all three of these cards ask us to slow down, pursue truth, and be thoughtful about where we are putting our energy and intentions.

There may be challenging situations to navigate, and it may at times be difficult to tell where the truth lies. Rather than rushing forward and pushing past any doubts or concerns, the cards want us to show patience and restraint, move at a gentle pace, and ask questions of both others and ourselves. Progress can be made towards our goals, but not if we aren’t thoughtful about our choices and actions.

And with two cards from the suit of Swords, it may be that communication is particularly important to be aware of today.

A Tarot Spread for the Day Behind You

Now, let’s look at the same three cards in the context of the PM spread layout and see how the meanings shift.

Card One: Overall Theme of the Day

8 of Swords

The overall meaning of this card does not change — but in looking at this as a reflective card rather than energy to be looking for, the way we work with the 8 of Swords can bring an energy of interrogation.

  • Where have we been close-minded, afraid to try something new?
  • What self-limiting beliefs may have held us back today?
  • There’s likely something under the surface, something that makes us uncomfortable, something that has us questioning ourselves and our abilities.
  • When and how did doubt creep in? What have you been afraid to question, afraid to examine? How do you feel trapped, and why?

Card Two: A Challenge to Reflect On

Knight of Swords

As something to pay attention to, this card urged us not to rush past doubts and be open to new ideas instead of obsessively fixating on our own.

But as a challenge to reflect on, the Knight of Swords asks how your sense of confidence might have impacted your choices today.

  • Was there anyone that pushed back against your ideas, any situations that left you frustrated, impatient, or feeling disrespected?
  • Think about the ways that your mind, your opinions, your perspective impact your choices.
  • Have you been close-minded, stubborn, sure that you’re right?
  • How might you have made progress more difficult by being unwilling or unable to hear other viewpoints or ideas?
  • Is there somewhere in your day that collaboration and cooperation could’ve made something easier?

Card Three: A Lesson to Carry Forward

2 of Wands

As for advice, the 2 of Wands is a card of thoughtful growth and checking in with the self — but as a lesson, this card is one of slowing down, being thoughtful, and taking more time to plan.

  • Where did you move too quickly, and how could both the Knight of Swords and the 2 of Wands offer different perspectives on the motivations for your rushing?
  • When did stepping back from movement help you assess what you really wanted and make a plan for success?
  • How are your creative goals beginning to clarify in your mind, and how can you continue to carve out space for more organization?
  • What choices that you made today felt really good, and which ones do you want more time with?

As an evening spread, these cards shift into contemplation, urging us to note patterns of stubbornness, close-mindedness, or taking our time to make decisions. Where did we see these energies throughout our day? How do these ideas resonate? Where did we rush past thoughtful attention, and where do we need more space to think?

Whether AM or PM, Be Sure to Pull Your Cards Today

Whether you choose to pull cards at the beginning of the day or at the end, giving yourself a few moments for awareness, reflection, and gratitude can be a beautiful way to express love and compassion.

When do you like to read Tarot, and how do you work with the cards you pull for each day? Does it feel more valuable for you to pull cards in the morning, in the evening, or does it depend on a specific factor?

Whether you’re new to the Tarot scene or your deck collection is getting so big you need a new storage system, everyone needs a little more Tarot in their life.

It can be quite the conundrum to decipher which deck is right for you, especially with so many neat ones out there. And we all have different tastes and reading styles, which makes a simple recommendation sometimes not applicable (no matter how much you trust a friend’s opinion).

Regardless, Tarot readers can generally agree that what’s important is choosing a Tarot deck that resonates with you — one that you feel can actually speak to you and delivers a message with clarity and ease.

Today, we’ll look at some gorgeous Tarot decks that may pique your interest… but with personalization in mind, we’ll be deciding based on your zodiac sign!

The Tarot Deck You Should Be Buying

Make sure to look at your Sun, Moon, and Rising signs to get the full picture. (If you’re feeling even more in-depth, check your Venus sign too, which can resonate more closely with your personal sense of style!).

Now, let’s find out what Tarot deck is right for you!

True Heart Intuitive Tarot

Something that speaks to the original spirit of the Rider-Waite-Smith Tarot is best suited for Cardinal sign Aries, a leader at heart. After all, it may not be the original Tarot deck in existence, but it certainly was a trailblazer in its own right!

Yet, the True Heart Intuitive Tarot is a trailblazer of its own, too, sporting modern art, an inclusive focus, and sweet touch, perfect for any loyal ram that dares to lead (but has a secret soft spot, too).

Pagan Otherworlds Tarot

Gorgeously hand-painted and meticulously designed with the Renaissance’s beauty in mind, the Pagan Otherworlds Tarot is a match for the Earthy beauty of Taurus.

After all, Taurus is Venus-ruled, with an appreciation for the finer things in life, lending this sign to a perhaps special appreciation for the craftsmanship of this deck! Nature-inspired and full of eye-catching detail, this deck is sure to please any bull in your life.

Tarot of the Holy Spectrum

As a curious and intellectual sign that thrives off of innovation, the ideal deck for Gemini matches their innovative spirit.

Artist Chase Vorhees intended for the Tarot of the Holy Spectrum to be an exploration of color and an “artistic challenge” for themselves — and what better of a match for Gemini, who is constantly pushing the bounds all the time?

Colorful and unique with a special color story language, this deck speaks to the curious but intellectually cohesive Gemini mind.

Whispering Spirits Tarot

The loving and sensitive soul of Cancer will appreciate the gentleness of the Whispering Spirits Tarot.

This eccentric but powerful deck speaks to the energy of your inner child, and the healing but playful nature of the art resonates deeply with a Cancerian touch. Its whimsy may not be for everyone, but it certainly is for the crab of the zodiac!

Serpentfire Tarot

Gorgeous, bold, and majestic: these words describe our Leo friends, but they equally describe the Serpentfire Tarot.

There is a modern feel to the Serpentfire Tarot that still speaks to the age-old royalty of desert imagery and feminine archetypes. Sharing Leo’s Fiery spirit with an intuitive heart, this pair is a match made in heaven for any lion seeking a Tarot companion.

After Tarot

While Virgo’s Earthy nature may yearn for the classics, the Mutable side of Virgo wishes to innovate and look ahead too.

Enter: the After Tarot!

Drawing upon classic Rider-Waite-Smith imagery, the After Tarot depicts each Tarot card one scene following the standard images we know and love. This special twist can speak to Virgo’s love of planning while still paying homage to the classics.

Fountain Tarot

Any Libra knows how to keep a conversation Airy and light but still poignant and captivating. And you deserve a deck that knows how to keep up with your style, Libra!

Dark and rich with occult knowledge, the Wayward Dark Tarot is artistically stunning but more than just eye candy.

Scorpio, equipped with their far-reaching intuition and fascination with the occult, will likely be looking for a Tarot deck that isn’t afraid to tread into hidden waters. The Wayward Dark Tarot is rich with symbolism and beauty, ready to be unpacked by any Scorpio’s keen eye and intuition.

Sasuraibito Tarot

As you may expect, the wild archer needs a Tarot deck to keep up with its wandering spirit.

That’s why the Sasuraibito Tarot is the perfect fit for Sagittarius! “Sasuraibito” most closely translates to “wanderer” from Japanese, and this deck certainly fits the bill of capturing a wandering soul.

It’s colorful, modern, and artistically divine, all while still speaking to traditional Japanese and Buddhist concepts.

Santa Muerte Tarot

Those who see the practical, hardworking exterior of Capricorn may be surprised to find any desire for delving into mysticism and the occult.

But it’s true — being Saturn-ruled gives the wise goat a special connection to karma, time, and discipline, making any divination-related action an especially serious tone.

That’s why the Santa Muerte Tarot, which of course, doesn’t shy away from darker yet grounded imagery surrounding death and mystic details, is a beautiful fit for any Capricorn looking to exercise their intuitive senses.

Numinous Tarot

Aquarius is often known as the radical rebel of the zodiac, so it’s only fitting that a Tarot deck matches their revolutionary spirit.

And what better fit than the Numinous Tarot? “Numinous” itself means “surpassing comprehension or understanding; mysterious” — which is also a fantastic descriptor for Aquarius themselves.

As a harbinger of change and a social butterfly, Aquarius will appreciate the inclusive and colorful approach of the Numinous Tarot, which brings a remarkably fresh look to the age-old tradition.

Tarot of the Divine

The mystical and folklore-inspired Tarot of the Divine is a stunning fit for enchanting Pisces.

Whether you have found the deck that speaks to your spirit or you’re still searching for some Tarot inspiration, know that even the most beautiful deck is ultimately there to aid your intuition — although some eye candy doesn’t hurt either, of course!

Are you ready to start a season of abundance? Libra season is here again to usher in themes of balance, negotiation, harmony, and social connections. But what about wealth? We’re here today to discuss the beauty of Libra season and what it’s bringing your way in terms of money and wealth.

Libra season begins on September 22nd, and we’ll experience the blissed-out vibes all the way until October 23rd, when the Sun enters Scorpio.

Those harmonized Libra vibes await!

Libra is an Air sign, meaning that it’s thoughtful, intellectual, social, and creative. Libra is represented by the symbol of the scales, shining a light on the balance and justice that this sign so earnestly strives for. You see, Libra is a master negotiator, able to see both sides of any situation and play devil’s advocate whenever necessary.

This sign is ruled by luxurious Venus, the planet traditionally associated with love and beauty. But what some don’t know is that Venus is also associated with wealth. Think of Venus as the planet that seeks the finer things, the planet most concerned with moving music, fabulous fashion, alluring art, and delicious desserts.

That means that Venus is also concerned with making sure we have the funds for such decadent treats.

But as with all-things-Libra, balance is a requirement here. You can’t walk around in a funk of negativity and imbalanced thinking and expect Libra season to shower you with abundance. Think meditation, think chakra cleansing, think crystal healing.

The self-care rituals that bring you peace are more important than ever now.

If you want to follow your money and wealth energy throughout the year, make sure to read your money horoscope!

What Does All This Mean for Money & Wealth?

Libra season can be easily summed up in one word: balance.

And without, you might find yourself amidst a sea of confusion or frustration. Libra season comes along to remind us that nothing great can last without a sense of balance and harmony. A winning streak at work can easily turn into turmoil if you don’t allow yourself time for rest, relaxation, and play.

On the other hand, playtime is hardly as fun if that’s all you have – if you aren’t working towards your goals and dreams, leisure can feel a lot more like torture.

A constant stream of negativity can easily overwhelm the senses, whereas blinding optimism can seem to condescend a reality filled with both good and evil. It’s all about finding the balance in any situation.

When it comes to money during Libra season, this balance is a must.

Find the balance between apathy towards wealth and obsession with it. Look for that harmony between what we already have and what we want in the future. Try to practice gratitude for your blessings now before diving headfirst into your new desire.

Your Money/Wealth Forecast for the 2021 Libra Season

While you might feel like jumping straight into work and creative projects right now, consider how your body and mind feel, Aries. With your ruling planet, Mars, in the sign of Libra for much of Libra season, harmony is an especially palpable theme for you.

Yoga and meditation might be particularly beneficial points of focus, as they will naturally lead you towards the balance needed to attract the wealth you seek.

You share a ruling planet with Libra, and Venus is bringing plenty of blessings your way right now, Taurus. But you may experience an overwhelming desire to participate in more playtime than hard work right now, so it’s important that you try to motivate yourself.

Physical exercise, especially outdoors, is one of the easiest and most effective ways for you to fill your spirit with passion and ambition.

Your mind is on fire with ideas right now, Gemini, but you’ll need to connect to your intuition to learn which ideas are keepers. It can be hard for you to trust yourself or make quick decisions, but your mind is far more powerful and capable than you might currently believe.

Balance the Third Eye chakra and spend lots of time feeling and expanding that connection with your intuitive center. Your instincts can guide you towards abundance.

You’re more creative and drawn to art than ever this month, Cancer, so be sure to foster your imagination and offer it plenty of opportunities for expression. You may find that surrounding yourself with beauty is the most inspired activity you can do right now.

Create a beautiful environment within your home, soak in that beauty, and see what inspiration arises. Your own creativity can help to construct your dream life!

Yours is a sign that already enjoys the finer things in life, Leo, so when Libra season comes along, you are more than ready for a good time. But remember that balance is key now, so be sure to share your time between frivolity and hard work.

Grounding exercises are perfect for you during this time, which can help create that balance that leads to abundance and new opportunities right now.

If you think we’re going to tell you to buckle down and work hard, you’re wrong, Virgo! For you, balance very likely means taking a step away from your career and focusing a bit more on the things in life that make you feel passionate and engaged.

Goof off, have fun, play hooky for a day. (We promise we won’t tell!) Engaging your inner child will help life feel brighter and more abundant in no time.

Happy birthday, dear Libra!

It’s your metaphorical day in the Sun right now, and your mood is likely to feel more lighthearted and optimistic already. For dear Libra, balance right now looks like standing up for yourself even when you’d rather find a compromise or avoid conflict.

Sharing your voice – perhaps asking for that raise you know you deserve – might very well be your ticket to wealth and abundance right now. We know you like to get along, but sometimes a little confrontation is necessary for setting your boundaries and getting ahead.

It may be Libra season, but Venus is currently in your sign, Scorpio, meaning that you might be experiencing some intense emotions right now. To find the harmony that is needed to attract wealth right now, focus on ensuring that you have an outlet for these big feelings.

Write, draw, explore the world, and your emotions, through your creativity. If you express yourself in a healthy manner, you’ll be better able to focus on manifestation.

Yours is a naturally lucky sign to begin with, Sagittarius, so if you can harness this energy, you can have quite an abundant Libra season. You might, however, feel like engaging in more play than focusing on productivity, so try to find little ways to motivate yourself right now.

Treat yourself for tackling your to-do list or make work fun by throwing on your favorite album. Finding the balance between good times and focus is the key for you.

You already know how to roll up your sleeves and get to work, Capricorn, so this Libra season is all about self-expression through creativity. You have a hard time expressing your emotions, and built-up frustration can hold you back from manifesting your greatest, most abundant life.

Pick up some paints and a canvas and let your insides spill onto the paper. When you’re free and not burdened by these hidden feelings, abundance can begin to flow into your sphere.

The airy energy is bringing some big and brilliant ideas to the forefront of your mind right now, Aquarius, and your challenge is taking advantage of this inspiration and bringing those ideas to life. You may even find yourself inventing the next big app or creating a new art form!

Your sign is all about self-expression and intellect, and sharing your big ideas is the best way to invite new opportunities into your life. Let your mind soar now!

Your intuitive prowess is sharper than ever now, Pisces, meaning that attracting wealth and abundance is as easy as listening to your gut. This requires emotional and mental balance to help you distinguish between intuition and anxiety or fear, so self-care is a must right now.

Incorporating things like chakra work or Reiki healing into your routine can help bring harmony to your internal world, which in turn brings abundance into your external reality.

Balance is the Key for Wealth During Libra Season

Yes, we’ve mentioned it a ton, but that’s only because balance truly is the cornerstone of Libra’s nature, the one thing Libra requires to be able to work its planetary magic. Look for anything that feels off-kilter or out of order right now and find a way to restore that order and harmony.

Balance also ushers in the ability to see the beauty in each moment, which in turn helps us appreciate the wealth and abundance that we already experience each day. Libra places a pair of modest rose-colored glasses over our eyes to remind us that the world is full of splendor and wonder – whether we’re dining on a five-star meal or enjoy a cup-o-noodles and a cheesy movie with someone you love.

Have a happy (and balanced!) Libra season!

At this time of writing, a bright, brilliant Full Moon in Capricorn fills the sky, illuminating the night in its radiant, reddish glory. How apt that it is the 18th card of the Major Arcana, the Moon, that is the topic of this article.

The Moon is mysterious. The Moon is intriguing. The Moon is wild.

This doesn’t just apply to our beloved Moon in the sky, but also to the Moon card of the Tarot.

Have you ever looked up at a bright Full Moon and just felt something go through your body? Something you can’t quite explain? Ever wondered why your moods go a little bizarre during the Full Moon, or why crazy things seem to happen, or unexpected events occur, or revelations explode out of the blue?

This is the magic of the Moon. The same magic that exists in the Moon card.

What Does the Moon Card Mean?

As mentioned, the Moon card is the 18th card in the Major Arcana, and it has a variety of Tarot card meanings.

It usually highlights the following themes:

  • Creativity and a powerful imagination
  • Wild romance
  • Delusion or deception
  • Feeling fear
  • Losing direction

The Moon is an intriguing card because it really can swing to the extremes in terms of meanings. It really can be “all wonderful” or “all terrible.” As with all cards, the meaning at the time depends on the context of the reading and, of course, your own intuition and what it tells you.

What Does the Moon Mean in Love & Relationships?

If the Moon card is pulled in the feelings position, this often indicates wild passion and an attraction that is almost “mad” in nature.

If accompanied by cards such as the 7 of Cups or Knight of Cups, it can also hint towards deluding yourself about a romantic relationship or an unwillingness to see things without rose-tinted glasses on.

The Moon card can be very welcome in a love reading. It indicates a love affair that is passionate and adventurous. The Moon also highlights deep and romantic feelings, indicating that the person in question has very strong, deep romantic emotions for someone that exists far beneath the surface.

However, the Moon can also indicate a warning in relationship readings.

It can mean there is deception going on. It is important to look at surrounding cards to determine if the Moon has appeared as a warning card. If accompanied by cards such as the 7 of Swords, the 5 of Swords, or the 3 of Swords, then it is time to pay attention to any red flags.

What Does the Moon Mean in a Career Reading?

In a career reading, the Moon card often points to uncertainty or anxiety about a career move.

This card is often a warning when it turns up in a career reading. It means you may be uncertain about what direction to turn in or a decision to make.

It can also mean there is something going on behind the scenes that you don’t know about.

On some occasions, the Moon card in a career reading can highlight that your creative skills will be harnessed, especially true if you are in the creative arts, such as painting, writing, and acting.

What About the Moon as an Obstacle?

As an obstacle card, you are being warned that things are not entirely as they seem.

As such, it is important to watch your step and be on your guard. The Moon represents the night, and in the dark of the night, it is hard to see clearly: innocent tree branches turn into monstrous claws, an owl hooting can sound menacing.

Just as with the Moon card, things are not as they seem.

The key is to conduct an investigation, research, and go forward carefully. Be careful who you trust with the Moon in the obstacle position.

What About the Moon in Reverse?

The Moon card indicates that the fears, delusions, and deceptions you have been experiencing are coming to an end in its reversed position.

A reversed Moon is often a welcome sight. The darkness is starting to clear, and the light is streaming in. It can also indicate that any confusion you have been experiencing deep within your subconscious is coming to an end.

Revelations are on the horizon.

The Moon reversed can often be taken as a positive, but it is important to look at surrounding cards as always.

The reversed Moon can also indicate there is a blockage in your creativity, particularly if it turns up in a career reading, and that measures need to be taken to remove the blockage. It can also indicate a blockage to your intuition.

How to Make the Moon Card Work For You

The Moon card is so deep and mysterious that it requires some alone time to get to grips with it.

1. Meditate With the Card

Sit in a quiet spot where you won’t be disturbed. Place the Moon card in front of you and meditate for a few minutes until your mind is clear.

Stare at the card, your mind blank, and let information flow freely into your mind. You might receive words, sounds, pictures, or feelings.

Write down whatever springs to mind. This is the Moon card tapping into your intuition and sending you messages from your Higher Self.

2. Repeat Affirmations

The Moon card is a wonderful affirmations card. You can repeat these affirmations throughout the day (especially during the New and Full Moons) or make up your own.

  • I am the Divine Feminine and in touch with my intuition.
  • I have creative genius within me.
  • I trust my intuition.
  • I radiate the energy of Yin.

3. Use it During a Full Moon Ritual

There’s nothing quite like including the Moon card in a Full Moon ritual. Your ritual might involve lighting candles, chanting and burning incense, or sitting outside gazing up at the Moon, closing your eyes, and manifesting.

However you choose to connect with our lovely Moon, keeping the Moon card with you simultaneously helps you connect with its energy. You can place it on your altar, or in your pocket, or in your hands.

As you perform your ritual, look at the Moon card and let its intuitive messages flow freely through you. You may also experience vivid dreams following a Full Moon ceremony.

Let the Moon Light the Way For You

We all experience dark times. Some more than most, but it is something no human on Earth can escape. The joy of light is here for us to experience, but so is the darkness.

The Moon represents the light in that darkness. There is a side to us that we tend to bury or avoid. It is our dark side and, when we refuse to give it the attention it needs, it can consume us or manifest in ways that are negative for both ourselves and the outer world.

The Moon gives us the courage to face our dark side.

Just like the Moon in the sky, which lights the way for a weary traveler, the Tarot Moon card encourages us to embrace aspects of ourselves that we would rather not. It is the side of us that dwells in our subconscious and which, when we effectively tap into our intuition, we are able to see, understand, and subsequently deal with.

So let the Moon light the way, no matter what path you tread!

Changing signs around every 45 weeks, Venus provides insight into how we may want to approach our interpersonal connections. Perhaps even on our self-care routine (after all, our relationship with ourselves is important too!).

Venus enters meticulous Virgo on July 21st, kicking off a potentially difficult transit if we’re unsure how to approach it. In Virgo, Venus is in fall, which is an uncomfortable spot. Although Venus likes to settle and embrace love in all its feelings, Earthy Virgo is detail-oriented and can easily sweat the small stuff, sometimes missing out on enjoying itself.

While this transit can emphasize the perceived “flaws” in our relationships because of this, the good news is that Virgo is also a service-oriented sign and has a penchant for longevity.

If you can exercise patience, this period can be a great time to forge longer-lasting connections with Virgo’s exacting eye in assistance.

3. Full Moon in Aquarius

We’re all familiar with the mysticism and hype surrounding a Full Moon, but what is it really all about?

While a New Moon is the start of the moon cycle, the Full Moon is when the energy is carried to its fruition. With this special astrological event, we can reflect on the work we’ve done so far and cleanse ourselves of anything that is no longer working.

On July 23rd, we’ll experience a Full Moon in the humanitarian sign of Aquarius. This rebellious Air sign demands change and transformation in all that it touches, asking that we step into the most authentic versions of ourselves.

During this special astrological event, it’s a great time to reflect upon how you demonstrate authenticity and eccentricity in your life and perhaps how you can contribute to collective goals in a unique way.

Continue to Keep Up With the Stars

July is not the only month jam-packed with important astrological events, and what’s more, there are still other transits to unpack in just this one month.

It may seem like there’s always more astrology to dive into, but there’s no need to be overwhelmed or concerned. At the end of the day, astrology is but one tool that you can use to your advantage in living your best life.

However, if you’re interested in keeping track of the movement of the stars and planets and how it all affects you, you can always check our monthly astrology calendar for the latest details.

How will you be using astrology to your advantage this July?

Associated with the element of Earth and the aspect of the physical body, the suit of pentacles in the Tarot holds a number of grounded cards that explore stability, patience, and resources.

With this suit, we dig into physical space, health, career, finances, legacy, success, family, home, tradition, and community.

There is real joy in this suit, a sense of being deeply present and satisfied, the ways that we connect to the world that we inhabit and feel comfortable in our own skin. We often think of this as a suit of wealth, but the concept of resources is much broader than we often make it, including money as well as time, energy, access, privilege, space, comfort, support, and creativity.

The Basics of Pentacles

The suit of pentacles is one of four suits in the Minor Arcana and includes numbered cards that go from ace to ten as well as four court cards. These cards are connected to the astrological element of Earth, meaning that this suit is also linked to the three earth zodiac signs: Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn.

Each of the four Minor Arcana suits is associated with an aspect of our humanity.

Pentacles represent the body, while cups represent the heart, while swords represent the mind, and wands represent the soul. Pentacles help us understand our physical needs, the ways that we feel safe and supported, the pleasure and sorrow that we experience when we don’t have certain necessities.

In addition to Earth and the body, the suit of pentacles also represents the tangible, the tactile, experiences and possessions, and goals.

Just like the astrological element of Earth, with pentacles, we explore ego and commitment, security and material gain, the ways that we present ourselves, and the things that we pursue for the sake of comfort, satisfaction, and establishing a legacy.

Often considered the slowest-moving element, Earth taps into responsibility, patience and reminds us to remain grounded, intentional, and focused. It can speak of either small details or the big picture but often asks us to remain calm, pay attention, and move with purpose.

As we move through the suit of pentacles, we plant a new seed of intention, nurture, and care for it, struggle with illness or a sensation of lack, honor the growth we see, consider the path that we’re on, and find deep satisfaction in the life and legacy that we have created.

When working with cards in the suit of pentacles, consider the ways that you are investing in yourself, the ways that you give yourself the resources that you need to thrive and grow.

  • How do you nurture yourself?
  • Where are you being called to be grounded, present, or take responsibility?
  • How do you decide where to put your energy and resources?
  • Which tools or objects help you tap into this kind of Earth energy?
  • What does your body need to feel healthy, comfortable, safe?
  • What kind of physical life do you lead, and where might you need to make adjustments to honor your own unique needs and desires?

The pips (or numbered cards) in the suit of pentacles show us several ways to explore and understand this energy–from making long-term plans to being willing to adapt when things don’t go our way.

These cards can help us care for ourselves in necessary and authentic ways, putting ourselves first and showing genuine compassion. The court cards, on the other hand, represent individuals that are learning how to utilize the energy of the pentacles best.

The page is a child and student, someone who is just beginning their journey with curiosity and methodical movement; the knight is an adolescent, eager to prove their desire for success with actions; the queen is a master and ruler who teaches others how to use this element internally; the king is a master and ruler who teaches others how to use this element externally.

These cards can represent the querent, a person in the querent’s life, or can offer advice on how to harness the energy of the suit of pentacles for themselves.

The Moon can move the ocean tides and control our crop growth – so is it any wonder that the Moon and her phases can influence our moods and emotions? If you visit Astrology Answers frequently, then you know just how important the Moon and its energy is for us down here on the ground.

Today we’re going to talk about a few of the lunar phases we’ll be experiencing soon, what they mean, and even rituals that can help you make the most of these various lunar energies.

So, if you want to know even more about the energy, you can expect this September – particularly that very personal collective energy that our Moon shines down upon us – then keep reading to find out all about upcoming phases of the Moon and what they mean!

The Moon’s Future Phases

The Moon is constantly shifting, moving through its 28-day cycle and reflecting different vibrations down to us here on Earth. For now, let’s focus on the lunar phases that are approaching the soonest and how they will affect us, as well as a ritual for each phase to make the most of them!

First Quarter Moon

On September 13th, we see a first-quarter Moon. Let’s explore a few hallmarks of the first quarter Moon:

  • This phase falls in the middle of the New Moon and Full Moon.
  • This is a waxing phase, which means the Moon is growing from New into Full.
  • While it’s referred to as a quarter Moon, it actually looks more like the Moon cut into half – or half of a pizza.

The first quarter occurs about a week after the New Moon, which occurred in this case on September 6th in the sign of Virgo. That means the lunar energy is moving from the new, fresh zest of the New Moon to the rich, overflowing energy of the Full Moon.

This is a time to consider your creative goals and passions: What sparks a fire within during this time?

A Ritual for the First Quarter Moon

For this ritual, we’re going to focus on uncovering that creative passion within you. We want that internal heat to move outward and spice up the world around us. For this ritual, you will need:

  • A piece of paper
  • A pen
  • A match or lighter
  • A metal bowl

Start by balancing and cleansing your energy, either through meditation, yoga, or smudging. Once you feel energized and harmonized, take your pen and write the following on your paper:

“I ignite the passion within to reveal my true creative potential.”

Now fold your paper in half exactly four times, light it on fire, and let it burn as thoroughly as you can. When you can no longer hold the burning page, place it in the metal bowl and allow the fire to smolder.

This ritual fire that you’ve created represents the fire that will now burn bright from within.

Full Harvest Moon

On September 20th, we experience a Full Moon in the sign of Pisces. This is also a Harvest Moon, which is the Full Moon closest to the autumnal equinox. Let’s look at a few Full Moon facts:

  • While the Full Moon only takes place for one day, the energy can be felt for about 48 hours before and after the Full Moon occurs.
  • The Full Moon represents magnified feelings and more intense emotions.
  • While the Full Moon always signifies intense emotions and a need for release, it occurs in a different sign each month and takes on the energy of that sign.
  • The fullness of the Full Moon can signal big or overflowing emotions.

The Full Moon is always a time of release, a time to let go of any pain or upsets that have burdened you over the last month. However, this month the Full Moon is in dreamy, imaginative Pisces, meaning that you may feel more sensitive, inspired, and creative than usual.

During the New Moon, we manifest. During the Full Moon, we release. We do not cling to any ideas or desires during this phase, but rather we consciously unwrap ourselves from any negative or toxic tangles in our lives.

A Ritual for the Full Moon in Pisces

Because a Pisces Full Moon is so creative, this is the perfect time for a creative, imaginative ritual that asks you to explore your internal fantasy world and hidden emotions. For this ritual, you will need:

  • A canvas
  • Creative tools of your choice – paint, markers, magazine cutouts, glue, glitter, or whatever speaks to you in the moment.
  • Your favorite playlist
  • Comfortable loungewear

This ritual is especially simple but particularly healing, especially during a Full Moon. First, slip into your comfiest, coziest outfit and pump up your favorite jams. Now sit down with your canvas and your art mediums and let your emotions flow out of you and onto the page.

There are no rules other than this: You must not hold yourself back. Let that creativity flow in whatever direction or manner that feels comfortable. Don’t worry about the outcome or the theme. Just grab the color and apply it to the page in a manner that helps you feel expressive and creative.

This is especially effective for releasing built-up emotions that may not have otherwise found an outlet.

Third Quarter Moon

The third quarter Moon appears on September 28th, marking the period directly between the Full and New Moons. Other third-quarter Moon facts include:

  • This lunar phase represents a time of reflection – a time to go within.
  • This is a waning lunar phase, which means that the Moon is losing its light and volume, moving from the round illumination of the Full Moon to the darkness of the New Moon.
  • Unconscious patterns are more easily recognized during this phase of the Moon.

The third quarter Moon seeks a resolution between the release of the Full Moon and the desires and manifestation of the New Moon. This is a time to look within yourself and pay attention to any unconscious patterns of behavior that are revealing themselves now.

A Ritual for the Third Quarter Moon

This ritual is all about internal reflection and self-realization – and what better tool to work with for this theme than your journal? A journal acts as a metaphorical mirror, a place where our true selves can be reflected without external observation or even judgment.

For this ritual, you will need:

  • A stick of incense
  • Your favorite journal
  • A pen
  • A soothing candle

First, start by lighting the incense to clear the room of any negative energy. Next, light your candle and spend a few minutes focusing on the flame. By focusing your attention on the candlelight, you’ll still get your mind and help yourself concentrate.

Once you feel focused and calm, open your journal and write down this question:

What emotions or internal desires have been hidden from my sight?”

Next, take a moment to reflect on this question, and start writing once you feel inspired. Answer this question to the best of your ability, using only your intuition to guide you.

New Moon

Finally, on October 6th, we reach the New Moon, this time in the sign of Libra. The New Moon marks a time of manifestation – a time to dig deep, discover your desires, and start drawing them into your life.

Here are a few things you should know about the New Moon:

  • The New Moon occurs in a different astrological sign each month, meaning that it always has a slightly different energy.
  • Manifestation and a fresh start are hallmark themes of any New Moon.
  • The New Moon is not visible to the naked eye.
  • The darkness of the New Moon can signal dark or heavy emotions.

When the New Moon rolls around, it’s time for a fresh start. The lunar cycle is starting over and giving us a chance to renew ourselves and try a new approach. This is also the time to think about what you want to bring into your life during the brand-new lunar cycle that is now beginning.

New Moon wishes, and manifestations often begin to become true in your life during the following Full Moon, which means we have an opportunity to make our dreams come true each and every month!

A Ritual for the New Moon

This New Moon ritual is all about manifesting, so you’ll first need to decide what it is you want to attract this month. For this ritual, you’ll need:

  • A piece of paper
  • A pen
  • A glass jar with a lid
  • Your wildest dreams

To begin, you’ll want to balance your energy in whatever manner makes you feel most energized and refreshed – you might smudge some sage, meditate, or even dance around the room to your favorite song. Just ensure that you’re feeling loving and uplifted before you begin.

Next, you’ll want to write down all of your manifestations on your slip of paper. Think about every situation or object you want to attract into your life within the next month and list each item down, one by one.

Once your list is complete, fill your clean glass jar with filtered or spring water. Fold your list of desires in half three times, and take your jar and your wish list outside under the darkness of the New Moon.

Place your folded paper on a flat surface and set the enclosed jar of water on top. Let these items sit outside overnight and gather them in the morning. Keep your Moon water in a safe place and use it for cleansing or other rituals.

Place the paper in your wallet or purse and keep it with you throughout the month. Anytime you notice a wish coming true, mark it off of your list and practice gratitude.

How Will You Use the Moon?

Each phase of the Moon brings its own special energy and meaning – and with a little guidance, you can learn to benefit from each, and every lunar phase there is. Learning more about the phases of the Moon is the first step towards learning how to work with all of the lunar energies available to us here on Earth.

Start with these rituals and the lunar phases we’ve gone over in this guide, and work your way towards a life that exists in harmony with the Moon.

Associated with the element of Water and the aspect of the heart, the suit of cups in the Tarot holds several beautiful connective cards.

With this suit, we explore emotions, relationships, love and friendship, community, intuition, faith, spirituality, creativity, and magic, diving into our own sense of inner wisdom with sensitivity, wonder, and delight.

And while we tend to think of this as the suit of love, cups also acknowledge the harder emotions we can experience: sorrow, loneliness, anger, frustration, sadness, and grief.

Just like Water itself, the suit of cups holds endless depths, raging currents, and rich beauty.

Tarot Cups Basics

The suit of cups is one of four suits in the Minor Arcana and includes numbered cards that go from ace to ten and four court cards. These cards are connected to the astrological element of Water, meaning that this suit is also linked to the three water zodiac signs: Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces.

Each of the four Minor Arcana suits is associated with an aspect of our humanity.

Cups represent the heart, while swords represent the mind, pentacles represent the body, and wands represent the soul. Cups help us acknowledge our most tender and personal feelings, the people and communities we feel drawn to, the ways that we need to be held and understood.

In addition to Water and the heart, the suit of cups also represents creativity, attachment, attraction, love, family, connection, art, beauty, intimacy, vulnerability, empathy, perception, and intuition.

Just like the astrological element of Water, it’s here that we explore the depths that we carry, the secrets we keep, the times that we are fluid, and the times that we are stagnant.

As we move through the suit of cups, we discover a new wellspring of emotion, build important connections, grapple with loneliness and disappointment, reflect on our histories, make important decisions about where to invest emotional energy, and find ourselves fully supported by the collective.

When working with cards in the suit of cups, remember that these cards ask us to explore a particularly complex topic and may help us dig into feelings or reactions that we haven’t always completely acknowledged.

  • Where are you afraid to explore?
  • What secrets do you keep from yourself, and how do boundaries of protection help you heal and grow?
  • How does connection with others help us more fully understand ourselves?

The pips (or numbered cards) in the suit of cups show us many ways that we can think about this energy, from opening our hearts to new connections to guarding it when we feel unsafe.

These cards can help us recognize and hold space for our own grief or hurt, push us to be more generous with our energy, and extend empathy or kindness in new ways.

The court cards, on the other hand, represent individuals that are learning how to utilize the energy of the cups best.

The page is a child and student, someone who is just beginning their journey with creativity and sensitivity; the knight is an adolescent, eager to prove their talent and desire with actions; the queen is a master and ruler who teaches others how to use this element internally, and the king is a master and ruler who teaches others how to use this element externally.

These cards can represent the querent, a person in the querent’s life, or can offer advice on how to harness the energy of the suit of cups for themselves.

Working With Cups

For a lot of people, seeing cards from the suit of cups is a joyful thing. After all, love is one of the most popular topics for tarot readings, and many people want to know more about the connections they may find and develop throughout their lives.

But it’s important to remember that these cards also have a lot to teach us about how we experience the world, the impact that art and beauty, and connection and sensitivity can have on us. Spend time with these cards individually, and consider the lessons they may hold for you as an individual, rather than just focusing on what they may have to say within the context of relationships.

Can you interpret dreams with Tarot readings?

In short – the answer is yes!

It takes a bit of practice and skill, but it is something anyone can do.

One thing that dreams and the Tarot have in common is that they both have a strong and powerful connection with the subconscious mind.

The dreams we have at night form from our subconscious, not our conscious (which is what we use during waking hours). Our subconscious is the place where we keep the most hidden part of ourselves locked away. It is where our fears, dreams, and desires rest. It is also where we can access information from other realms, the Universe, and other areas of the world.

Tarot is a tool with many complex meanings behind the cards, and our dreams are complex too. If we put the two together, we can find ways of interpreting our dreams using the help of Tarot cards.

A Tarot Spread for Your Dreams & What They Mean

If you need a little help and guidance interpreting a dream that you just can’t make head or tail of (even after checking out our Astrology Answers Dream Dictionary), look no further.

Below is a dream Tarot spread that can help you make sense of your dreams.

First, it is a good idea to note down exactly what it is you want to know from your dream. Is it a specific conversation in the dream you want to understand better? Is it a question regarding the deeper meaning? Do you simply want to know what it meant overall?

The spread below is based on the general question: What did my dream mean?

This is a 5-card spread and after shuffling your cards with the question in mind, lay out five cards in the following positions:

  • three cards representing what the dream meant.
  • one card representing what the dream wants you to know.
  • one card representing what action you should take.

Below is an example of this spread so you can see how it pans out!

Make sure to read: A Helpful Guide for Understanding Your Most Powerful Dreams

Tarot Question: What Did My Dream Mean?

  • First three cards – What the dream meant: The Moon, 7 of Swords, Knight of Cups
  • Fourth card – What the dream wants you to know: The Empress
  • Fifth card – What action should you take: 8 of Pentacles

The Moon card and 7 of Swords together indicate deception when paired next to one another in a reading. The Knight of Cups indicates a romantic relationship, crush or love interest.

This combination indicates that your dream is highlighting a deception of some kind that is linked to your waking world. There may be something kept hidden (the Moon is a card of hidden things and illusions), while the 7 of Swords indicates there is dishonesty involved.

The wool is being pulled over someone’s eyes.

The Empress, as what the dream wants you to know, indicates that your subconscious is encouraging you to find your own personal power.

The Empress personifies female energy in its most magnificent form. It epitomizes self-love to such a degree that your self-confidence and self-acceptance are at their highest peak. This card indicates that you may be struggling with self-worth. At a deeper level, you may have an instinctive feeling that deception is happening, but you choose not to face it.

The Empress is there to let you know that you can take the situation into your hands and reclaim your personal power.

The 8 of Pentacles for the advice card indicates that it is time to work on yourself. The 8 of Pentacles represents working hard on something, and in this case, especially with the Empress, it indicates that it is time to focus on you and work on aspects of yourself that require healing.

As it is a pentacle card, this can relate to health or financial matters or anything to do with the physical world that can enable you to come into your own personal power.

What Are Your Dreams Telling You?

When it comes to dreams, it is common to experience the mystery surrounding them!

We can rack our brains for hours on end and still come no closer to understanding exactly what they were trying to tell us.

It’s times like this where we can call upon a little help. Tarot cards are always open to interpretation. If you are wondering exactly how the Tarot manages to do what it does, including its link to dreams, try not to overthink. No one really knows exactly how the Tarot works. We only know what it does. Trusting your intuition is probably the best way of understanding the Tarot.

By doing so, you can also strengthen your ability to understand what the cards are trying to tell you at any given time.

Next time you have a dream that leaves you feeling confused, try the dream Tarot spread included in this article. The answers will come. Be patient with yourself and trust in the cards, as well as the power of your subconscious mind. Your dreams come to you for a reason.

Let the Tarot help you find out what that reason is!

Have you been yearning for some balance in love, a reduction of surprises, and motivating energy? Then this week brings more balance, stability, and ambition than you might have hoped for!

We have quite a few pleasant major transits this week, starting on August 16th, when social Venus moves into balanced Libra. Venus is the planet that rules over harmonious Libra, and it’s especially cozy in this sign. During this transit, negotiations, conversations, and all meetings of the mind tend to run more smoothly and contain more understanding.

On August 19th, Uranus – that planet of spontaneity and change – goes retrograde, giving us a rest from its desires to shake things up all the time. When Uranus is in retrograde, days might feel more relaxed and less unknown, as Uranus takes a break from trying to free us from a rut.

When Uranus slows down, things feel steadier, and life seems easier to manage.

And on August 22nd, we have two major transits bringing new energy. The Sun is moving into grounded Virgo, and we also experience a Full Moon in the sign of Aquarius. Virgo season marks a month of grounded focus, ambition, and a desire to work hard towards our goals.

On the other hand, the Full Moon in Aquarius sheds light on issues that may have remained hidden lately. If you’ve had feelings that have been swept under the rug, you can expect them to resurface during this transit.

And all of these transits come together to help you make it through another week with poise, grace, and the assistance of the planets, who are on your side.

August 16 – August 22 is a Week to Soak in the Healing Vibrations

Venus in Libra signals a time of harmony and understanding, making it much easier to get along with others. Uranus in retrograde helps you appreciate typical, mundane circumstances.

And the Full Moon paired with Virgo season helps you remove yourself from the emotion of a situation and see things from a clearer point of view.

This week, try to focus on the tasks that make you feel most fulfilled. Performing activities that bring you joy and pride will make this feel like the best week ever!

If you’re not sure where to start, a personalized astrological reading can help you fall in love with yourself and your ideas all over again.
